Turbo tour?

My car broke down otw to the Ram it Down show, but I saw them on the Painkiller tour. It was great because they played a lot of their old stuff including Beyond the Realms of Death. That, Motley's Girls tour and Aerosmith's comeback tour and Journey's Raised on Radio tour were the only 80's type shows I've been to.

I don't remember the years...

Van Halen (Live without a net tour) 1986?
Pink Floyd 1987?
Rush 1994?

#1 AC/DC For Those About To Rock....it was my first concert.

#2 Ozzy Diary of A Madman with Randy Being right in front of Randy all nite was AWESOME!!

#3 Iron Maiden Somewhere in Time Best sounding show I've been to...crystal clear and pounding.

Metallica at Cains Ballroom in Tulsa OK 02/20/1985, there were a total of 200 people there and it was like a garage jam with Cliff on Bass. Truly an awesome concert.

Whitesnake with John Sykes in 85 for the Slide it in tour, he became one of my fav guitarists after I saw him.

Nah not the Turbo tour - I'm thinking Defenders of the Faith!!
Which would be the last great classic Priest Album!!

My three most memorable would be
1983 Def Leppard/Krokus/Gary Moore - too young and stupid to make it on time for Gary Moore :(
1986 Ozzy/Metallica - the only time I got to see Cliff Burton
1988 Monsters of Rock - LA Colosseum :: Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken, Metallica, Kingdom Come -- I was among the 3000+ people who rushed the floor when Metallica came on!!

Damn good times!!

I hate big hair bands...then and now...I did however know Randy Rhoads, my band in the late 70's (Arch Rival) shared the bill with QR a few times and I hung with him and a couple of other guys at the Starwood a few times..

1980 - VH World Invasion tour, LA Sports Arena :worship: 'nuff said...
1981 - VH Fair Warning Tour, LA Sports Arena  'nuff said...
1986 - Ozzy/Metallica, Long Beach Arena - Ultimate Sin Ozzy w/Jake (great!) and Metallica still blew them off the stage

Steve

Way to many to list.......or chose from...but I'll try and name only 3

Metallica (saw cliff burton twice, once when they played with Ozzy/J.Lee and when they headlined a show at the Majestic Theater w/MOP....they AJFA tour was at the old convention center arena...that was bad ass too ! )

Judas Priest - Screaming for Vengence tour

Iron Maiden - Power Slave tour where they played on the Live After Death stage and set list

there are several others.....
the Fastway/Saxon/Maiden (Piece of Mind tour) was bad ass...at the old convention center arena

a year or so later I saw Accept/Saxon play at the arena

ACDC in the 80's always kick ass at the convention center arena

Van Halen Diver Down/1984 era was awesome

Maiden (Number of the Beast) with Scorpions (Black Out) was a great show at the arena

Man...I've been to too many bad ass concerts in the 80's to list them all here.

All I can say is that I loved spending my entire teens in the 80's!
I miss the 80's
