If someone wants to give a sincere recommendation that's fine. But, to be dismissive of the OP's amp calling it "trash" and "very hard to get a good tone out of", while shilling their amp is uncalled for. Especially, when there was no expressed complaint with the tone of the amp...just didn't have a clean tone.

Leib: It would be nice to have a 3 channel Uber. MIDI functionality would be a plus, but most people don't need it. I think having two gain channels on the TJ is suitable for a firebreather, though. But, if it's your main/only amp then you run into what the OP did. I know some guys would like a single channel version. Hard to please everyone I guess.
 
There are fan boys, and there are shit head fan boys. Adelnknot (whatever) is a shit head fan boy. He may very well know tons about them and has owned 68 of them, but if you get on the internet just to tell everyone that the rev 2 is the best thing since the discovery of the orgasm and everything else is just a pile of garbage.....then you are a shit head fan boy.
 
RJF, Why you need to be disrespectful? first of all, I don't have and never had 68 Uberschall amps. I own the serial number 068. that proof that you are just a BAD hater person. Why does it bother you that much? is it garbage to love an amp and express some feelings? is it Bad? I'm a very cool nice guy but people like you?! I would love to meet you face to face.

I meant the amp number sarcastically, I have no idea what serial number amps you have. I meant you could own more Uber than anyone around here.

dude, just be normal and post! Just help people and join in rather than post useless info. If you are the Uberschall pro share some info with us. Personally, I'm on an Uber kick right now. Just sold my twin jet and I'm kicking myself. Trying to decide what to buy.
 
There you go...I appreciate that talk a bit better. I have not said anything Bad about Diezel amps. I used to own them myself. Great amp and I love Both Peters. Great people.
I sold My TJ also. it's a great amp but nothing like the Uber green if you play Heavy brutal music that's all. Do you want me to suggest you an amp. Get the Uber Rev2 that is on sell in here. You will Thank me and apologize about the crap you were saying to me :) Deal?
 
I've played through a rev 2, I slightly prefer the Twin Jet. But, I wouldn't mind finding a green Uber just because of their up and coming collector status. I did eyeball the one in the classifieds, but think it's priced a bit steep.
 
For me the TJ and the Rev green are completely different Amps.
The Rev green suits my ears big time. I put the TJ and the Rev green side by side with same guitar, same pick ups, same cabinet. huge difference.
I have owned all the uberschalls and I also played the personal Reinhold's Red TJ :D when I was at bogner.
Bro, The Rev green with some JJ KT77 HOLY MOLY it's the the way to go, if you are looking for an extreme brutality that's the amp you need.
You can ask Peters if you want :) He heard and tired the prototype back in 2001. :yes:
 
If we are going to talk about all out vaporize everything brutal amp, hands down thats the Framus Cobra with it's matching Cobra cab. Herbert, VH4, Recto, 5150, TJ, & rev 2.... nothing does down tuned metal like the Cobra. It's the only reason I've kept mine around. Build quality kinda sucks, it's noisy, but damn...I plug into it once every couple months in drop C or a 7 string and holy moly, I remind myself why I keep it.

It appears that rev 2 here is gone. No biggie. I'll wait until one locally pops up and grab it cheap.
 
I had REV 2 Uber my least favorite off the all the Uber's I owned. The Twin Jet and blue I would take over it any day.
 
Have you tried something like the Detox EQ or Descend pedals? They clean up a dirty channel and have great EQ's. I don't know how it'd work with a Bogner, but I use it with my 100 watt, non-master plexi and it works quite well for creating a great sounding clean.
 
Zewongo, lol I really dunno what to say. Again nothing personal but maybe either you were high when you were playing it or the amp had a prob. I have owned all of them. My least favorite is the TJ. Again it does not mean they are bad amps, BUT you can hear a big difference between the 3, especially if you play heavy metal. The Rev2 make them all weak.
 
Bro, they are all great amps but, when it comes to brutality and modern extreme saturated distortion :) sorry but The Uber Green revision or Rev2 kills and make them weak. In terms of clean tone and features and Fx Loop and shit, that's for sure it's not the best amp.I believe in a big picture of a high gain metal amp, Diezel are one of the best amps out there If you like their tone.

zewango, Go to Alex's house and hear it yourself if he still have it. NO it's not mine. And you are the guy with the XTC right ?? Hope you found a buyer for it and the uberkab also.

Yeah, if this amp is so killer, put up a clip for all of us to hear. We'd like to hear what we are "missing out on" and get a glimpse of what your "golden ears" are hearing. Until then, we shall assume a Bugera is way more brutal sounding.
