Well All My Gear May Be Destroyed...

I wanted to provide you all with a quick update. I have confirmation that my home was essentially UNTOUCHED by the fires. Most (see orange color coding below) of the surrounding neighborhoods are completely destroyed. I'm incredibly grateful to all of you that provided thoughts, prayers, wishes and words of support. THANK YOU.

WOOHOO!!! Great news, man. Very happy for you!

Not to derail the OP’s thread but I saw a post on FB that the fire is within a mile of 5150, can anyone who lives out there confirm ? It would be a total travesty to lose any unreleased recordings, all those guitars and amps …

Wow brother, if that's true, then someone was definitely looking out for you. You may have to volunteer a couple Saturdays at the soup kitchen or something to pay back such good fortune.

I know of four friends who have lost their homes, in particular Terry Kilgore aka Tube Tramp aka Sarge...his home burned to the ground. It's sad, but it is what it is.

Terry sent me a video clip of his property after the fire. I almost punched a wall after watching it. He's a good man and he doesn't deserve that.

FYI, KNX 97.1 FM is constant fire news right now. I have them playing on my radio (tube, of course 😎) to stay updated after the recent alert goof that put the entirety of LA County on evac warning by mistake.

Edit: Curfew incoming for some areas apparently.

No, Los Angeles didn't refuse to fill water reservoirs to prevent fires

My man, I really feel for you and I hope this all comes out as good as it can but why are you defending any of these people? There are so many sources talking about the mismanagement of water. MSN is just running cover for these clowns.

Really don’t mean to be a dick, I’m so glad I don’t live there and I’m so sorry for everybody that does 🤷‍♂️

Did you read the article? The tanks were filled shortly BEFORE the fires. The fires overwhelmed the water supply held in the recently refilled tanks. The size of these fires is massive.

Don't feel sorry for me, bro. I love living here. People have been talking shit about our state forever. As Jimi said "Blah blah woof woof". LOL

It will be interesting to see how much attention a fire that rips through an affluent area like Pacific Palisades gets compared to the one that leveled Paradise a few years back. A whole different socio-economic group of people.

What's your point? There's a lot of less affluent people getting their lives turned upside down right now at the Eaton fires and Californians are seeing coverage of all of it. Media just covers what sells. Nothing new.

I think that’s cinder block, right? If so, I’d be more concerned about looters

That reminds me of Lahaina from last year sadly.
