Remember in the movie Demolition Man, where the world was all perfect and squeaky clean, but just under the surface in the sewer was a whole culture of people drinking beer and eating rat burgers because it “tasted like freedom”? We just have to do the musical equivalent of that!

A.I. sounds human now? About time humans have returned the favor as Modern metal has sounded A.I.-ish for 20 years now
This. Imo AI will replace something that really doesn't sound like music anymore to me at least.

Also, in Tiktok lot of younger people belonging to alternative subcultures are radically against AI and basically cancel + ridicule everything that's made with it.

It's not as if AI's going to simply just brainwash everyone into accepting the horseshit it puts out. This might actually be a wake up call to a lot of people to start appreciate real music again.

TL;DR AI is cancer and you should not pay attention to it.

That ghost song could be the opening track for a James Bond movie that’s scary!

Can I get Richie Kotzen backing up Robert Mason backing up Ian Thornley backing up Chris Cornell now on my next album?

I haven't been this worried since The Rock-afire Explosion moved in on my local birthday party scene.

Why do I feel cheated?

God help us...

LOL

That was the worst, most phony sounding "Mississippi Blues" song I've ever heard. Sounded like some soy based white dude crooning. Not much to worry about there cause obviously the AI is sourcing it's tones from other shitty white fake blues. I guess if all you know is shit music then yeah, this will replace your current shit hits with AI generated shit hits.

The solar flare will make it clean again.

You could technically write all the music though and then find a "real singer" for your project. Kind of awesome actually. Soul sucking yes, but kind of cool to help bring projects to life.

I'd be more worried about AI generated video and audio which is already in circulation. They make Trump deliver speeches he never gave or make Biden sound coherent. It's all over and people are gullible. Also, it is glaringly obvious to me that if you use an AI generated vocal, they could dig for some rights to your music on the platform. I bet people are just clicking next on the terms and conditions.

On the plus side, porn is gonna get awesome in the near future. Interactive bodysuits, booyah! I'm able to keep an open mind about the technology :D

The worst part about that is AI could generate video to incriminate anyone for anything. Not a nice thought...

Cheaper and less hassle than funding an actual honeypot for intelligence operations..

Seriously.. it is believable enough that there are already many fake vids out there and it would be easy enough for them to extort you with a hooker video.. then again, you could actually be filmed with a hooker and say it was AI?

Lol, yeah it would be pretty easy to blame footage on AI! Do you think video will just become obsolete as evidence? Doesn't really leave much other than eyewitness acounts, which is probably no better...

International law on AI isn't going to exist. The development of AI weapons might be more a issue than who owns the music.
