Drop C is drop D down a whole step.

Yep. We are saying the same thing.

Your D goes to C,
Your A goes to G,
Your D goes to C,
etc

The chuggingest most metal tuning there is. EEEEEE

Honestly it just depends on the month / year it could be any one of these:
E standard
Eb Standard
Drop D
C Standard

I have multiple guitars with everything from standard/dropD down to A, I’ve been playing standard the most but I’ve not played low in a while, time to go back down

5 guitars:
E Standard
EB
D Standard
C sharp Standard
B Standard (7 string)

Tele = Drop C# - My primary tuning to mix classic rock with hardcore and spaghetti western.

LTD = Standard - General rock I guess, sort of anything that needs humbuckers really.

Jackson = Drop C - Chuggy metal stuff, the Floyd Rose has systematically gone flat across every string so it's technically somewhere between B# and C.

Fender Acoustic = Open C# - Use it for slide, really was using open d but then decided to match my tele tuning better for writing.

Fender Bass = Ehh I fuck with it to match the guitars above

E standard for the past 5 or so years. I use a Drop pedal to go down to Eb. Now that I think about it, probably will set one guitar to Eb again because the Drop pedal is great, but a guitar in actual Eb does react a bit different.

E, Eb, D, C#, C, and A. I have one and in a couple cases two guitars set up for each. I run from 10-48 through 15-70 string sets on them dependent on tuning.

E…..
Eb…
D..

Anything lower than that and my ears can’t hear it

I'm fineish with C or C# too, anything lower with a standard scale length just sounds like you're swimming in pitchy mud and everything sounds out of tune

tbh though most alternate and super low tunings are either a crutch for lack of heavy riffs or a lack of creativity

They can work for certain genres certainly, but Jesus just get a 7 string or a mandolin and stop molesting the guitars

Dude I recently bought an 8 string to try and make sense of what the children are listening to these days…..

It was like listening to the aftermath of discounted taco Tuesday 😅😅😅

They’re offloading that beef on the cheap for a reason 🤣🤣

Not sure. I just start with the A and bang two strings together until they all fall in line. Have not used a tuner in years. Not kidding.

Right now I'm in Eb and Drop Db.
My last two projects were in D Standard and E Standard, so I split the two.
