If delay pedal, dont exist better than Boss DD-2.
Perfect repeats, but organic like analogue pedals.
I used to own 2 DD-2 digital delays, one that was broken that I used in trade for a Fender Japan Contemporary Strat, and the other one that I still own that I had Analogman install his Hi-Cut mod on my pedal: Boss DD delay Hi-cut mod Just scroll down to where you see the Boss DD delay pedals in the middle of the page.

I like the dispatch master from eqd, carbon copy, and keeley caverns. I like having something I don't have tap dance

Hard to beat an H90, or if you want cheaper the H9.

Can do world class delay or verb in the H9, or both on the H90. And to be picky, the H9 has some algorithms that can do both delay and verb at the same time too.

I haven’t found a reverb pedal that can replace my PCM80 or 91. Would like to try the H90, but Lexicons seem to have their own sound.

I use a Boss DM-2w up front for most of my delay stuff, and a DD-7 in the loop to give me ambience. I still add a little taste of the onboard reverb on the IR-200 but the wide stereo of the DD-7 is ambient enough.

For rack or pedaboard?
In my rack: fully loaded tc 2290 all day long.its the cats meow.cant beat it.
On my pedal board: either timeline,,source audio collider,or h90

The Strymon DIG V2.
LOOK for the tone control on the top
of the pedal which is on V2 ONLY.👀
V2 also has stereo output, USB port & MIDI
also.
The V1 DOES NOT have these features & functions.

Scoobs’ be hurry-hush-hushin’ that V1 bullshit
for the same price of the V2.
These are nearly $400 a piece , btw.
Be careful, I returned one because of it.
That dude was tryin’ to pass his mistake$$$
onto a good honest dude like me.
Not with “The Equalizer”.💯
I’ll come for you, keep being a SCOOB
-I’ll wreck you.

The tone control is CRITICAL for dialing in
the top-end match up of your amp and the rack delay the pedal is modelling.
The control also greatly effects the over all presence of the delay & repeats as well.

Those settings I have on the pedal
in the above pic are fantastic for
‘meltdown the town high gain’
rhythm AND lead guitar playing.
(Set Tap to taste).

Stays outta’ the way just right while going in
deep & dimensional or ‘Sad But True’
“Chunk Punching” your brains out rhythms
without adding any bass frequencies to the
punching in that chunk
The chunkers’ stay tight.

To further ‘tailor’ my delay sound,
there’s Send & Return adjusters
in the tube buffered effects loops of my two
Lenz Amplification amplifiers.
Word!
🔥
GRATIFIED🙏

Digital Delay: Keeley Halo - the best sounding ambient delay I've heard due to the repeats being able to be dialed in very dark, and the stereo effect multi tap effect really helps with the swirl.
Analog Delay: Suhr Discovery - crunchy BB delay that can get as subtle or completely nuts as you want.
Reverb: Strymon Flint - old faithful. Huge, excellent sounding spacial reverb that goes anywhere between simple room and floating around the galaxy. And it's got full MIDI compatibility, which is a plus.

The original DIG does have a tone control as well, but it's hidden as a secondary function. Much more of a pain to use, I'll give you that.
Careful about the DIG's tone control though. It doesn't impact the first repeat, only the ones after that. This is true with both v1 and v2.
