What Happened to 3rd Power Amps?

I was at a men's beer league hockey tournament last weekend and my buddy and i had fun reading verses from the bible and the book of mormon that were left side by side. Complete nonsense that contradicts itself page to page. You can literally infer anything you want from the writings....you can go extreme and demand the subjugation of women as your pleasure slaves or you can go in the other direction and burn people for looking at a woman that isn't their wife. It's hilarious...no wonder it is the number one must read for cult members belonging to any cult that ever existed/ exists/ or will exist tomorrow.

The reason behind this is most christians have not read the bible. I have read it several times. Bring up the old testament, and they tell you the new testament is the "real" one. Even though the old testament has its roots close with islam, which is very similar. The New testament aside from starting with Jesus rejecting all that were not jews see matthew 12:22 and ending with him being the benevolent leader of all men. Matthew 12:22 was a very special passage for me, because it was when I had enough of the bullshit in the book.

Christians in general are often extremely ignorant of their own religion. Most do not recognize the book of matthew when i discuss it with them. I have never seen another group of people send their dumbest to try to recruit, but i guess we know what their market is. It isn't very good for them to have people that ask the hard questions they have no answers for.

Christians also seem to have a deep hate for muslims, and muslims christians, but the funny part is the ignorance that christians portray of the muslim religion. The new testament was torn through by catholics to give the image that showed it in a favorable light to serve their purposes and many gospels were left out that were very contradictory with what made it in or got adjusted in. The muslims also believe in jesus, just that his was not the final gospel, similar to the jews belief. Muslims and christians fight over the same holy land. It is ridiculous.

Now we know that Mista guitah keeps the Lord's counsel, so he knows the truth.

one funny thing is they did a study by religion and sector and measured their IQ's. Atheists were the highest (no surprise here), as you went down from taoism and other more philosphies down to babtist, the drop was dramatic, but the more fringe and cult like, such as mormon you got, it got pretty low.

Also for the record, nothing wrong with the basic tenants of religion and morality. It is more the abuse of interpretation which makes it dangerous.

What would you know about Christianity or the Bible? You don't even know what a Christian is scripturally. I'm an expert in scripture and can debate any theologian or apologist so you're picking a battle you can't ever win.

I think the argument isn't so much " God" or an entity or set of circumstances that created everything, it is more with the fact that this " God" would have a moral preference for this or that life. The argument would be that " God" is often equated with certain moral rules that are heavily dependant on stories, transmission and perspctive vs random occurence or " other laws" which seem to govern nature like the randomness of " evil" or " sin" which are more a product of environment. By environment i mean experiences and impulses. So an atheist may well believe in an all creator, just not the moral ruleset that was laid out to worship him/her/"they"?

I think it needs to be stated that many of those scientists who say it would be foolish to deny the existence of God really mean "A God" and not necessarily your God. I personally believe in a god, and try to live my life somewhat aligned with Christian morals, but feel that many religions try to simplify something far more complex than man can understand and communicate. Having travelled the world, I've always had a hard time accepting that almost 70% of the worlds population is going to hell if they don't accept Christianity. Even many flavors of the western Christianity seem to have some notable difference and interpretations. At the end of the day, who's right? Depends on who you ask and who you believe.
