Also. I just reread op and saw tools. I dont know if he has discovered knipex. But it is a german brand, and it is my most used tool. I have 22" cobra pliers, which are very large and manly, the 12" alligator that I use for most things, and the 6" which are my favorite for up close and personal jobs that take more finesse than torque.

If he is a tool guy, he will appreciate it.

I love golf, mostly b/c I'm in sales and I get to do it all summer (y)
At my old job my bosses golf buddies would stop by all the time and talk golf. I would tell my boss if he was gonna talk about golf all day that I was leaving, lol.

Can you tell us more about what he likes?

Maybe a nice fishing rod?

Well, he's quiet, stern, and picky. Basically only talks when he has something to say.
Finds most things in life overrated and is probably into the same kinda thing most people in their 100s are into.

He was a Marine Sniper and Navy Special Operations/Intelligence for 20 years.
Seems not much interested in beaches or large bodies of water anymore.

@NowYou'rePlayingWithPower do y'all got a clothesline? My clothesline is among my favorite possessions. That would make a killer gift IMO.

Have one of those Samsung clothes lines. :ROFLMAO:
Rains too much here for that kinda thing.

I had a bottle .... in 8th grade circa 84-85

That stuff has pretty good reviews from what I was looking at, may buy some for my son as he's into that kinda thing right now. Thanks for the tip!

People have made day at range and hunting suggestions. You say you live in a secluded forest and he is ex special forces. How about buying him a homeless person/persons to hunt in the forest? Show him you really care.

It's funny that you say that, because when the bird hunting suggestions were being said I was thinking that's a bit tame.
But maybe it's a therapeutic thing, dunno?
He likely would be happier with something that fights back.
Probably why he asked me to marry him :ROFLMAO:

My birthday is also in about a month and I can think of 69 things I'd like.

Sorry if this comment is a little too on the nose (see what I did there?). :)

Just make sure to clean them up first and cut their nails.

They're pretty much part of the local wildlife, but not the type that live off the land, more or less the type who twitch and sleep standing up from the drugs.

It’s actually really sad. Saw one of my oldest friends recently and he is one small step away from this. I’ve been feeling really heartbroken since I saw him last week. Hoping he pulls it together. Was shocking.

Probably a good thing I watched my older cousin become a heroin addict and end up in jail then dead when I was young enough for it to scar and educate me. Didn’t stop me smoking 10 tonnes of weed and an ocean of beer, but hey, that was good fun.

Ok, so no homeless bait and no heroin for your husband. We’ll think of something!
