It is Lent, I shall make a Lenten soup. And I will do it outside to be one with nature. So, I use my old Coleman camping stove. Potato, carrot, celery, onion, olive oil. Cook it hot with some evoo.

Cook it down for awhile. I added rosemary, oregano, and black pepper now. I then added dark soy sauce and oyster sauce. Cook another 45 min.

Simmered for hours. A little toasted bread. A simple meal with a beer.

My final lenten dinner. Fasted all day, made a simple soup of potato, carrot, onion, garlic, oregano, rosemary, and a mason jar of homemade veg stock I made this winter.

I made this for the second time and I'm gonna do it again. Nothing difficult but so tasty. Kind of like a gumbo casserole. Layered black bean, jasmine rice, salsa, frozen corn, grilled shrimp, grilled jalapeno cheddar brats. Leave it on the Weber to keep it warm.

I had some old dough, so I made a thin tavern style pizza. I wanted to attempt the style, it came out good.
