The ‘rarest’ thing I have is Mark Abrahamian’s #2 ‘ground up’ Mod 5 build. It’s got his sig in the chassis and the #2 along with the receipt from the original owner. It’s the ‘no logo’ sourmash plexi headshell / Metro chassis head in my sig pic. Certainly not the most expensive, but you don’t see one every day.

While it's not an "expensive" amp (though I'd say it technically should be....it's totally handmade and handwired)....since other people are mentioning rare amps I might as well mention my VVT Simo-Plex.

I was told that only two exist - I own one and JD Simo owns the other

I also own a Starfield VPA-1 preamp which seems to be exceedingly rare.....I've only seen one for sale in the past 20 years (which I bought) :D
 
You don't know expensive until you try to start your own amp company. I'm sure I have the most expensive amp in the world sitting on my bench gathering dust.

The best way to make a million dollars? Start with two million and open an amp company.
 
Steve K was the winner years ago. He had more shit than he let on.... I know at one point he had like three Bartlett LP's multiple custom explorers, and like 20 top amps. He will always be the King!!!

I really miss my friend Steve. Jer too. :cry:
