Changed a couple things...
This is straight to the amp no pedals. Wasn't that loud, you can hear my strings slapping around. Pay no attention to all the fuck ups...

Cascaded gain stages, and I moved the NFB wire around.

I made it. It says Hair Guitar on it. I drew that picture. Came out looking like EVH in the early days... LOL! :D
It's a musikraft neck and body.

I took the Jose Master out... if that tells you anything... Even when I had it in, I was glad I put the diodes on a push-pull. I'd take them out all the time because the diodes sounded NASTY... and not in a good way.

well at risk of being flamed

I have to say your take on the "cameron tone" sounds alot closer than what Fortin and Friedman are doing IMHO

in a word, theirs sound "softer" where yours has that cameron "hard-ness" to it

can I assume thats what you set out to do in the 1st place, ie make a "HG Jose" ?

did you stumble upon this by accident or was this a result of yours (or someone else's) reverse engneering of a HG Jose ??

Well to be honest, I haven't heard a Cameron, Fortin or Friedman in person so I'm kind of shooting in the dark. All I have to go by are video clips...

What started the whole thing was the Jose Master volume that's been circulated around. I had a Rich Mod in that amp, and while it sounded very good, it was still loud as fuck! So I researched the Jose and decided to give it a shot. It was ok. I thought it was better than the Rich Mod at taming the volume, but the diodes kinda sucked and without them, there wasn't enough gain at all. So more research pointed me to cascading gain stages. This did the trick in the gain department, but still sounded kinda blech. So then I researched some more and moved a couple wires and got a terrific MV going. I mean this kills the Jose MV and Rich Mod! Whisper volumes! Now I'm looking deeper into the Jose hand-drawn schematic that's been floating around to see what's been done... So we'll see where this goes. It's a blast!

I think you are headed in the right direction and :rock:
I think it sound great !

The only thing that I would comment on and that would be for my personal taste ,is the bottom end seems a bit loose. Other then that it the Shiaaat!!! :rock: :rock:
