It's fine if you want to end the discussion, I'm more than sure many here would like to see this stop.I didn't read any more of your posts because we can't have a discussion. You continually equate catholicism with orthodoxy and then misrepresent a bunch of theological arguments that were settled 1200-1500 years ago. You don't agree with my theology but I agree with your "jesus alone" theology, because that is what orthodoxy teaches at it's core. You have the 2-2=4 down, but you don't have the fullness of the faith with the simplistic "jesus alone" that you continually ram home over and over as though that's the sum total of the Christian faith. You're still in the theological shallow end of the pool strumming cowboy chords that's good enough for you so I'ma let you swim and play kum-ba-ya on your acoustic. Be blessed brother.
You've said your peace and I respect that, I'll now say mine.
"you continually equate Catholicism with orthodoxy" This is not accurate. I'm sure there are many things the two systems disagree on, your very testimony confirms that. What you are failing to realize is I never claimed the two were the same. We have been debating over specific things, and these specific things are embraced by both the Catholic's and Orthodox churches. Specifically the sinlessness of mary, veneration, transubstantiation and justification apart from faith alone. All of the above are embraced by your system and the Catholics.
"you misrepresent a bunch of theological arguments that were settled 1200-1500 years ago" - this is a vast overstatement and is subjective.
You can't agree with my "Jesus alone theology" and then subsequently say " I don't have the fullness of faith". - that is a direct contradiction.
"you continually ram home "Jesus alone" as if that's the sum total of the Christian faith" - seriously? So which is it? because you said above that you agree with my "Jesus alone theology" and now this statement contradicts that. Is faith in Jesus Christ alone (as scripture, clearly, 100% assertively teaches) correct or not? Eph 2:8-9 8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not of works, so that no one may boast
In conclusion, carrying on this conversation with you has been difficult because you've done nothing but disrespect protestants and slander what it is they believe. Your initial posts were inflammatory and then you did nothing but respond in hypocrisy when your accusations were challenged. I had hoped to learn more about the orthodox system, but the only thing you have done is cause me to be completely opposed to it and leave with a bitter taste in my mouth. In addition, standing in support on your end has been a publicly proud satanist / luciferian and you would rather seek and encourage His support than myself, someone who holds to many things that you do. My heart truly breaks for that.
I think it clear that you do not know your bible as you should, and your ability to carry out thoughtful, reasonable, clear conversation is truly lacking. I do not wish anything negative towards you and hope that you will consider that there are many out there who believe that the Bible is Jesus word (as He said it was) and respect it, revere it and live by it. I am one of those people.
