For the most part you can’t see faults in tubes, you have to test them on a tube tester or open the amp up and poke around with a multimeter.
I would try the spare, they’re quite cheap and you can get more from your tech if the amp needs to go in for service. Maybe film the rear of the amp on...
I can’t really tell by looking at the tubes but yes that second is a spare. Odds are it will blow again, but if it does it’s probably tech time and will need some new tubes.
They specifically go after low income people regularly, so it’s not a giant stretch to think they’ll go after the guy who made a few dollars on some gear they had laying around. The less money you have to fight it, the more they see it as an easy way to steal your money.
Good news everyone. Who could have foreseen the consequences of letting thousands of military age males over the border without vetting.

Your heater voltage is going to probably be too high and not sound great. And depending on your dropping resistors everything in the preamp will be over the “ideal” voltages. My guess is things are going to sound quite harsh. Unless you go the route of a step up transformer for the powertubes.
Mark 3 no stripe: once I have it around here Il roll in some presence. Typically around 2 and hit it with a boost. SD1 or 808. Drive just cracked open, and level 70-90%. Tone just past noon.
Both masters around 3, but sometimes Il go up to 4.5 on the lead master. Works best with a les Paul...
It’s useful as a historical record for setting prices on items for sale. It might also be useful for wtb ads as people post what they have, same with trades. Only way I’d change it is a mandatory SOLD or NLL at the end or beginning of the title. I don’t really care unless the sold or no longer...
There’s a guy named mark who can tweak amps and might also be a tweaker. Two birds with one stone as they say.
Being serious there’s a few dudes who do the modded super-lead thing well, like redplated, ground zero, and a few others here. Tight and more gain but not a Jose or modded 2203 with...
^^ is spot on, also this might help. I’ve noticed allot of people just change the dropping resistor and call it a day. It’s a great visual representation and written by metro George so you know it’s accurate.
My opinion is kinda like the above ones. I don’t think you’d be happy at all with the mark or Marshall tones out of the V given you have a way better mark and a way better Marshall already. The road king would be different enough, and fill the space between the two. Only downside is the RK uses...
Suhr SSH+ bridge 50. This pickup was covered with a gold cover, hence the gold pole pieces. 16.75k, 8.4k coil split A5 mag. About 12in of lead remaining.
$75 shipped PP F&F in the continental US.
It would be a real shame if we had a wall of shame like the old steroid boards had with names, addresses, and phone numbers of guys who tried to pull a quick one on sellers.
Hope your issue gets resolved amicably.
You’ve got screen grids in both.
Very cool to find a jmp with higher than normal plate voltages. I wonder if it’s Canadian spec given the fuse board, do you have a 16ohm out? So much space in that 800 for mods!!
