I went without boots for a few years but a nice boots pedal is just a valuable tool. If I could always crank my amp I might still not use boots but it just gives you that little extra something on top of a loud Twin that makes life nice so boots is the only pedal I use.
If you don't love playing rhythm as much as lead you probably suck at lead. I like playing leads but I like laying down a nice interlocking rhythm part just as much as I do cutting a nice solo. If rhythm is boring to you then you just suck at rhythm.
I think Wayne is selling them for $225 each. By comparison a used Gladio without all these nice features is over $300 for the most part so it's a good deal IMO.
This pedal also goes from zero to apeshit on both channels. The one drawback vs the Blue Note is the knobs are way more sensitive to adjustments so you have to dial it in more carefully whereas the blue note has limited gain over a wide range so it's easier fine tuning. But the tones itself is...
Dan's might be more geared towards your preferred gain amounts but I will say the green channel on this thing stays pretty tight compared to what I am used to as a non-chugger. It didn't take me long to connect with the blue side but I need to play more with the green side yet. What's weird is...
