The multi watts are killer versions of the Rectos, for sure. Can't go wrong with one of those.
The MT is a great amp on it's own, and a nice change up to my Marshalls.
I have a Decimator on my board; so I don't worry about it...but, it seems pretty quiet. I have heard of others that complain about noise, however.
To me it's a killer amp and easily the best bang for the buck out there, at 1899 for a three channel amp. Much less than the EVH 100w...
Find the 'demo' of We Die Young...that's the Randall, and it sounds damn close to the Facelift tone. How he dials his amps, and the rest of his rig is the secret.
You have to look up the actual thread here, where Ron Champagne who owns the actual Snorkler, and was the engineer for Facelift tells exactly what was used and for what.
Snorkler was cleans, and leads...modded 65 Bassman with a modded Tube Driver for the heavy rhythms. New World Man here on RT...
Not sure who gave that review; but I've had 2 F Triples, 2 G Triples/Duals and the king, the Rev C. The MT is basically an F Triple already boosted; with tight lows that are huge like any Recto.
The MT is definitely NOT a refined version of a Recto, not to my ears. It IS an already boosted...
Take it easy sunshine. We've seen this act before; you wouldn't be the first to try to circumvent the 50 post rule....IF that was your intent...if not, my apologies.
Welcome to the forum...the 50 post rule is here to protect our little community and allow you the opportunity to participate a bit...
Jeff Martin. Good singer, drummer....lots o talented dudes back in those days. RacerX wasn't exactly glam tho lol. Closest thing to metal without being a chug chug no midz machine.
Since Covid, no Celestion have been made in China afaik. So, if the date code is post 2020 it's UK made. Also, the sticker on the side of the magnet would say 50 if it were made in China.
I've honestly had hundreds of amps, cabs, and guitars along with pedals shipped from them in the last 12 years or so and only a handful of things have shown up F'd up, to be honest. The one common denominator though was Florida...almost every one that ended up damaged came out of a Florida...
??
Just get an early 70s Superlead; unloaded PV is 560 or even a bit more. My 72 made my MC100 expendable. Easily thumps as hard as that Wizard, which was also a killer amp. But, the Marshall actually has mids.
