Let me just say that I've dealt with and met the seller and found him to be upstanding and had only good experiences with him.
Which seller?

He's referring to me... :) He's came over and tried out some of my gear before, almost bought some stuff from me.

Did you used to post on the Burning Times Iced Earth forum?

It was only the fact that I was trying to sell this amp, that a perspective buyer asked me to check the numbers, and letter coding... That's when I found out what this asshole did! I dropped my ebay listing. I left the ones up one the forums, so I can warn people about this guy when they pm me...
Seems like you're the a-hole in this case. You lose.

He just got majorly owned over on The Boogie Board. Detailed pics with an explanation were given as to why the board swap was correct, and he responded not even realizing which pics were of his amp. To quote BB's..."The top two are your amp, fool. You would not know what you were talking about if it jumped up and bit you. Which it just did."

Yup,

looks like these thread killed most of the resale value of this amp now.

Quick, somebody get sixstrings in here, then it'll REALLY be party.

Jack - you fucked with the wrong bull.
I'm sure he's shaking in his Doc Marten's.

Well, I'm calling up Brenda tomorrow to give her a full recap and discuss the slander TGD is commiting with her identity and the options to get this resolved. I've also kept a log of all the posts that were made, complete with post times. Considering the posts happen all day long on multiple days, I would hope that Brenda/TGD isn't using his/her employers resources to harrass and threaten people on the internet during company time.

Wasn't jcoopercam linked to some other really shitty forum transaction in the not to distant past? Searching now...but that name seems oddly familiar...

This is kinda like when two people stumble into a room full of people throwing punches at each other, no one really knows whats going on. All I know is that there is a Brenda and someone fucked with a bull that may or may not be wearing Doc Marten boots.

Also if you are buying a amp for collectability get a real Mark II C+

If you want a amp that rocks for a great price there is nothing wrong with a upgraded IIC+ so I fail to see the real problem here.

Seems as though the buyer liked the sound and then found it out it had a OT that was changed but it was already a modified Mark II C to begin with so its not like that kills its value in anyway.

:boxer: You know the fucked up thing is....I acually read the whole thread

  That's too funny. I'm not giving out full identities on forums, it's not appropriate. Just the first name of the owner of the account that bought the amp.

I think someone jerked off a bull jizzed it in a pair of Doc Martens, and Brenda sold the Doc Martens to a Newworld Man from Columbia, who in turn was transformed into a 105 year old Elephant God from New Deli?

And i think somebody somewhere is mad about an amp or something? :scared:

This makes me cry a tad................an amp like the IIC+ deserves an owner that is going to wail on that thing.....not wipe it with a cloth baby diaper

I dont like collectors

Worst part is it's the best IIC+ I've ever heard for those old rock and Metallica type tones, and I've owned a few and played a handful more.

why do people give so much of a shit about these amps? instead of trying to replicate a tone at the cost of $$$$$$$$, why not try and make an awesome one unique to you

You got to start somewhere and if you look at the cost of Mesa IICs its not bad compared to what other amps are selling for now.

I am not going to just dump 2grand on a amp I have never played or never heard of. Lots of people try to emulate or build amps but it rarerly gets to the Cameron/Bogner/Mesa Mark II C+ level of awesomeness.

What fun would that be?

Holy crap, we agree on something...

They're great amps, have a unique character in the gain structure and they're fun to play. You really have to play one to appreciate them.
