Just for your own knowledge and edification, the design matrix of every tube amplifier used today are essentially rip-offs from designs by Western Electric scientists who were working at Bell Labs. I would think any guitar amplifier enthusiast with at least a 9th grade education would know this? :dunno:

Vacuum-tube technology is not new, and modern designers do not use the tubes in new ways that would ultimately cause the tubes to malfunction (although many will go beyond the limits specified in data sheets, sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally). But I think your point is an over simplification. The scientists in Bell Labs were not into distortion, for example, and so they did not design preamps that today's rock guitarists would enjoy.

If CharvelDan loves Freidman, that's all good, so many GREAT amps out there. I promoted SPLAWN since 2002 till last year, another great amp company. But I had to leave because my heart and soul said I had to leave.... I bought one of Billys first FIREBOLTS as he just started his company.
Im here because we all learn, we all grow, I made a ton of mistakes as we all do in life.
BLADES tone is fantastic, he says their is room for everybody on the top.
Billy and I are TONE lovers as most on this thread. I cant live here as I rarely come here, but Im getting PM's with people hearing the tone and loving what Billy's doing. Seeing Brad come to this thread, makes me feel like their is hope for RIG TALK, that we can all rock n roll in a positive light instead of hating.....turn your TONE UP!!!!! Im gonna go play guitar ;)
Wanted to share this, whether you HATE it or dig it lol... Mike Himmel wanted a "Bare Bones" cab, this is it, why???? You might ask?
Eddie Van Halen had cabs like this and its genius...Billy did NO TOLEX, and NO speaker covers cause the speaker covers take off the top end frequencies of the tone (even if its a few DB), tolex can dampen it as well, Billy went old school EVH style to where these X-Pattern WGS speaker loaded MONSTER cabs sound FRICKIN amazing!!! I personally think Im SOLD on WGS speakers...period. What I heard at Nashville NAMM was simply mind blowing, the BEST tone I have heard, unless I was beside Eddie at Sunset Sound Recording Studio's, Hollywood Califiornia 1978 (VAN HALEN 1), wish everyone a great night! <img src="">

Are you handling sales for Blades Amplification?
Mr Rob, yes I handle sales for Billy. Great store ( Tone Merchants) by the way, I drool everytime I was in there looking at ALL the pedals you had in that place. Candy store. Continued success!!

as a sales rep for a company its your job to talk the product up. you could think its a piece ofg shit, but the better you make it sound, the more units you sell, the more money you make.
Your lost ;)

Really dude , you go on raving about getting early EVH tones from a BB amp with a cabinet loaded with V30's in a X pattern and those speakers are about as far from EVH tones you could possible get .
No amp is going to give you all the mojo without the proper speakers to compliment it . And if you think a high gain BB modded marshall tone with WGS V30's and high wattage greenback clones is the recipe for early EVH , you way off course.
My FIREBOLT 50 Delivers EVH/LYNCH/DeMar easily, Go watch Himmels Video again, Mike vid has now been WATCHED on YOUTUBE in 54 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD!!! :D

We can go back and forth all day, waste of time, I owned LYNCHS SLO prototype Black Croc, sold it years back, this FIREBOLT is wicked, Tone chasing is over. Love Soldano, but who cares? Im just posting and your posting, who cares?

My point was, that none of this stuff in new, regardless of how convoluted the circuits become. Even Guy Hedrick's patented design are nothing more than a Vox AC15 circuit mated with Fender/Marshall 100 watt power section.

For me, an amplifier is nothing more than a tool I use to get the sounds I need. I don't base my opinion on looks, but by what I hear. It's nice to have a great looking amplifier, but it's not a make-or-break issue. I get shit for my Cornford looking like a Soldano... I don't care, I like the way it sounds. My Guytron GT20 has a light on the front, which some consider bling... I don't care, I like the way it sounds.

I care

R/T has been kind of boring lately. We needed a thread with butt-hurt, veiled threats, 4th-grade soldering, disturbingly ugly amp and cabinets, snarky Bob comments and the repeated use of the word "sycophant".

What else am I going to read at lunch? :D

Moments later, Billy bit off the foot thinking it was a real cupcake.
Then he went on to post that Betty Crocker was ripping him off from his cupcake recipe.
