The show car at the top is a Lowrider, this is more north STL County style ... ^^^
  A MCmobile   hard to believe but someone actually owns and drives that disaster!
anyway the firebolt is a really good sounding amp there is no taking that away from its builder
but he should have went about getting them out there differently.
they sound more than good enough to sell themselves, no need for all the hype talk, blingy knobs and shit.
give me one is a standard marshall headshell and i would play it no problem
not sure about a cup holder? :D I never sat drinks on my marshalls ever!
that is just stupidity at its finest

Many people on this board respect Michael Wagner and his work over the years. He doesn't seem like a brain dead idiot. If I remember correctly, he was on this forum for a while. Yet he apparently likes Billy Blades and Blade's amps. Is Michael losing it? Did Billy pay him for the endorsement? If Michael seriously believes Blades amps are worth keeping in his studio, either he has lost it or people here are so blinded by Billy's stupid, childish posts that we are missing the fact that he somehow figured out how to make good sounding amps.

Let's say that Billy has an investor or some source of substantial money to get his amp line up and running. If he dumped the cup holder and hired someone else to represent him publicly, he might have a real chance. It looks like he is starting to do just that (outside of here).

Would I buy one? Maybe, but it would be on the second hand market for two reasons; 1 - they look like they will fall apart if you bounce them around from gig to gig, and 2 - there is no way they will hold any value. I suspect if they actually are sold in any quantity that they will resell for around $800-1000, it might be worth trying one at that price.

Bling! Bling!

I'm not a fan of Billy's cabinet designs but quite frankly, a big part of it may be that the workmanship looks amateurish to my eyes (my apologies to the builder if this is the goal), but I dig that Zinky cab. Then again, I dig non traditional cabs and am not really a big fan of standard vinyl/tolex.

Waiting for someone to buy one and rip him off like he did others.
They could make it a more professional build and do away with the bling bling childish look , then put him out of business.
Sell the amp for $1000 and transferable warranty .
Problem solved !

Who would cover the warranty?

I don't think anyone should do that. Just bad karma.

However it would be cool to get the amp, send it off for a new head shell and some proper inspection but would it really be worth all that trouble?

I don't think anyone needs to go through the Blades circuit closely to create a similar amp. His amps are based on the Jose circuit (similar to a BE100, for example). So just grab the Jose circuit, build a good amp, and get some great guitarists and recording artists to play some panama riffs and licks and you'll be set.

Why is this thread still going? It's the end of days I tell ya...

The amps may sound good and be well built by now...

But the aesthetics, marketing and names of the amps are so bad!
You're right! He should have exhibited some class, and modeled the head cabinets after Marshall, and named the amplifiers after an asshole and a pussy.

so, you didnt like Billy's cosmetics and wanted it to look like a Marshall? Didnt you take this jab at Friedman?

When Dave and I started Friedman, I wanted to come up with a new look to identify the brand like what Billy is trying to do.

Dave said, "Ive been working with rock stars and producers for 20 year. They want amps that look like Fenders, Voxs and Marshalls".

Dave was and is absolutely right.

I doubt MW has seen the bullshit BB's has exhibited over the last few years. He's a busy guy who probably dosent give half a shit whats going on in the internet world. ;)
He has a life, and a dam cool one at that...
Much respect

I would buy one to make a Utewb set it on fire, pour water and blow it up but i cant see wasting $50 dollars on an amp so ...

Id invite Billy to lunch but im afraid he'd eat everything.

In other news, waters still wet and they're still looting in St. Louis after 7 days and counting.

Thanks Rob. I didn't think anyone here at RT noticed my little amp. It's still a work in progress - I'm doing the (hopefully) final tweaks to the preamp this weekend.
