Dave was and is absolutely right.

As someone that LOVES natural wood finishes and also enjoys building cabinets in that theme, there is no doubt that Dave's right on the money whether he's spend 20 minutes or 20 years in the industry. It is what it is.

Many people on this board respect Michael Wagner and his work over the years. He doesn't seem like a brain dead idiot. If I remember correctly, he was on this forum for a while. Yet he apparently likes Billy Blades and Blade's amps. Is Michael losing it? Did Billy pay him for the endorsement? If Michael seriously believes Blades amps are worth keeping in his studio, either he has lost it or people here are so blinded by Billy's stupid, childish posts that we are missing the fact that he somehow figured out how to make good sounding amps.

Let's say that Billy has an investor or some source of substantial money to get his amp line up and running. If he dumped the cup holder and hired someone else to represent him publicly, he might have a real chance. It looks like he is starting to do just that (outside of here).

Would I buy one? Maybe, but it would be on the second hand market for two reasons; 1 - they look like they will fall apart if you bounce them around from gig to gig, and 2 - there is no way they will hold any value. I suspect if they actually are sold in any quantity that they will resell for around $800-1000, it might be worth trying one at that price.

I doubt MW has seen the bullshit BB's has exhibited over the last few years. He's a busy guy who probably dosent give half a shit whats going on in the internet world.
He has a life, and a dam cool one at that...

I am sure you are right but something is not adding up. Is the amp a piece of crap, unsafe and poorly made? You'd think MW would see that?? Do you think Billy is 2 different people?? He has is idiot internet personality and then in person that's all forgotten??

It makes me wonder why MW would have anything to do with Billy based on everything Billy represents on the Internet. Even his website js kind of a joke.

Maybe in person, with the computers turned off, he's a decent guy that funded the production of a decent sounding amp..

I guess time will tell.

I'm not a fan of Billy's cabinet designs but quite frankly, a big part of it may be that the workmanship looks amateurish to my eyes (my apologies to the builder if this is the goal), but I dig that Zinky cab. Then again, I dig non traditional cabs and am not really a big fan of standard vinyl/tolex.

I had one of those little Bruce Zinky amps. Awesome blues amp. To be sullied with any reference to The Blade Bag is criminal!!

The new gutshots look good, and the clips sound good. I just cant get past the past or the snake fang/lightning bolt bullshit that I think is amateur hour at its best
MW probably heard one at BB's request, liked it and BB was probably happy to oblige him with one. Cant blame him for that.
The circuit is nothing new, its been done by lots of people before BB did it. It is one of the better circuits out there, no doubt about it.
It is funny to see all the hype like its a brand new amp when its all been done before 30 years ago. I just got sick of hearing his bullshit on every forum he ever got on. He is a namedropper of the highest order, and still is (hence the MW connection, but I dont have anything to base that on but my own thoughts) If I'm wrong and MW sought him out to get one with no prior contact from BB, I really could not care any less than I do
