Welcome back.
Well is he is anything like me.....He never left.

I quit my job years ago. Just eat and cruise the computer.
Living the highlife.

Look at the tits on that warlock. Beefy.

Will this fucking thread die? One fanboy who clearly has a crush on the hillbilly electrocutioner versus everyone else on the board. It's to the point the poor bastard is pushing cookware.

On the Appearance [of Blades amplifiers]:
I personally don't have a problem with the lightening bolts and fangs on the front of the head boxes. Okay, I don't like the fangs. I don't hear anyone talking shit about the grill plate on Henning Cherry Bomb? Are cherry bombs cooler looking than lightening bolts and snake fangs? Hardly! Henning is using a more professional looking metal grill accoutrement, but the Blades Amplification is a new company... Give the guy some time to make a few bucks, and I'm sure you'll see some forward development.

Uh, Henning amps is a new company as well, so your comment holds no water. The difference between Steve Henning and Billy Blades is:

1 - Steve did it properly right out of the gate. There were no early run Cherry Bombs fashioned from pastel coloured driftwood with a circuit wired with a bird's nest of tangled lamp cord, and

2 - Steve is a respectable and articulate individual, whereas, from all outward appearances, Billy Blades is an idiot.
This x10
Yes, cherry bombs are much, much cooler than snake fangs and lightning bolts
I've read Steve's post's for years and never once did I think he was an idiot. He's a straight shooter who would never stoop to the bullshit that BB has over the past few years. To even mention them in the same sentence is to give billy the shit shoveler way too much credit ;)
All I have to do is see BB's name and I instantly think "idiot"
If I read any further, I'm instantly reminded of why that first comes to mind.
Awesome! I don't use Teflon coated pans since purchasing my Stonedine cookware. You can actually taste the difference using the stonedine. Not quite the same as using cast iron, but the flavor is there. Clean-up is a breeze!

Maybe BB should have teflon coated the insides of the chassis on the early stuff to help clean up all the solder drippings
carry on
I use drippings regularly myself, but they're really not needed with the Stonedine. If you're making something you want to have a crispy exterior, just throw a dab of butter or coconut oil like you would any other pan. Now if you're making fried cheese (one of my culinary favorites), just throw it in the pan! No oil needed.

That reminds me... I was in the market for a food processor, but after reading reviews of the current crop of food processors available today, I ended up purchasing a NOS food processor off eBay. I just used it today to make some kick-ass coleslaw to go along with my slow-cooked hillbilly BBQ!

I never felt sorry for dirty steve buying into blades bullshit.

Conversely flabbergasted anyone would buy blades shit at all.

After chatting a bit with steve on forums ive concluded he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer ... :D

Doesn't excuse blades drama & bullshit tho.

I admit, I am he...

So you admit you run multiple accounts within forums?
No. I had one account as TheGainDeli, and was banned for warning people of Mark Cameron. I then generated a new identity, and became TrueTone500.

  Yeah right. Just off the top of my head I can remember you being thegaindeli, echodrive, 67mopar, truetone500.

And if you say you were banned what are you doing back here? Or is that more bullshit too.
The screen names echodrive and 67Mopar were names that I had Brad change as an active member... I had him change the names, because I thought they sounded goofy. At least, I think that's how it went? So many names - so many songs... TrueTone500 is probably the goofiest of all! I suck at selecting good screen names, but I do write some cool sounding original music. I'm not bad at writing lyrics either... I contributed some short, but sweet lyrics from an original to Steve Henning's community composition.

I'm still here, because I bring love and joy to the hearts of RT members.

All I can say is that after reading through parts of the last 18 pages is....
I really want a Henning Cherry Bomb!!

Every time I hear any of the dudes playing early VH tunes with the BB amp I want to puke .
Early VH tones and on up to LWAN it isn't about a high gain preamp section , it's about the whole amp and power section roasting on a VARIAC !
So if your not driving that power section it still misses the point , it becomes a mushbolt .
You have to get the power section roasting and that's why so many great players play so loud no matter what amp and mods they are playing , because the power section is just as important for the tone as the preamp and tone stack .
If your a high gain monster player that's seeking the Marshall hot rodded tones then it fits the bill from what I'm hearing , but that's already been done for decades now , nothing new there .
He's just trying to cash in while he still can.

I'm a fan of power tube distortion myself. I've been having a great time playing my Guytron GT20 amplifier! It's so easy to push the EL84 power section into distortion with the integrated attenuator. I can run padded out into the effects return of my RK100 for remarkable Van Halen debut album sound. :)

Preamp distortion is cool though, and I think it has it's place... Most guitar tones I like were recorded using a Vox and NMV Marshall's. A lot of builders claim their amps will get those plexi tones, but I have yet to hear one duplicate the real deal. Metro's kit amps are probably as close as I've ever heard. I'd like to try a Suhr '68. Getting tired, so I hope this makes sense?
