No Problem , not looking for any mod details but just curious as to how the switches are wired up and why he chose to hack the back of your amp up with that switch layout.
I would think he could of atleast lined them up nicely and moved them to a better spot without hacking up the back panel.
Freidman just destroyed the real value of that JMP by hacking all those holes in the back chassis.
But hey , it's your amp and as long as your happy with it that's all that matters .

My amp is not hacked, i disagree.

It was a tired old JMP wen i bought it and now it can run with any SOLDANO SLO or similar.

The front panel has no marks and looks normal.
Its a sleeper like the little Chevy that pulls up to the light, looks normal but has the 427cu under the hood and blows ur doors.

Dave did a fabulous job and i asked for the C45, Fat, Sat & Gain Cut myself.

FWIW Lee Jackson and others have "Hacked" many an amp IMO.

He did everything i wanted and more.

My quest for the perfect amp is over but im never done buying gear.

To be honest , I was surprised when my jmp arrived back the first time with knobs, jacks, being unevenly drilled and spaced and labelled. An extra two minutes could have helped give the appearance of factory somewhat. Then the metal faceplate on front was bent up when it returned back to me.

Dan, your jmp is a78 and has not one mustard cap left? My 77 was loaded with them and my 79 2204 even had a few.

"Run with a Soldano SLO"...have you ever owned one? Because if you haven't, you don't have a clue. Marshalls, and I love them, start to fart out after 4-5 on the master(MV Marshalls). An SLO just gets better the more you turn it up. I've heard your clips and the tone does sound good. But make no mistake, it ain't an SLO.

Yes "can run with an SLO' as i stated.

Theres nothing extrodinary or terminally unique about Mike Soldanos amps, its just an amp.

I've had several chances to snag a Soldano but im not into the american 6L6 type tone.
I'm always looking but not prepared to pay north of 3K for one.

My amp is perfect for me, between the Friedman & DSL i got what i want.

Besides WTF else do you want from a 33 yr old amp anyway ?

SLO's are overhyped & overpriced IMO.

If i were to spend over 3K for an amp it would likely be a FREIDMAN.

Dan , was'nt looking a boxing match but Friedman did a very sloppy job on your amp .
I understand there is a big difference between the American 6L6 sound and the UK EL34 sound , but damn dude your amp is'nt even in the same ball park as my Soldano HR100+ much less an SLO for having nice string definition along with usable gain with clear tone.
You have to use a pedal just to get up to par to the Soldano preamp section.
I'm not say your amp is hacked up , just that the chassis is now hacked up and that really defaced the value of that JMP which were great amps stock .
