Wow... Nearly 25,000 hits to this thread and I still haven't a clue what it's about.

Is there a Coles Notes version of this thread available?

-William Wilke a/k/a "Billy Blades" makes a seemingly good sounding, but a questionably manufactured amp.
-TrueTone500 wants attention and has found that staunchly endorsing and defending Mr. Wilke entices all kinds of attention. He has a hit on his hands with this thread.
-Many posters take the bait, for whatever reason, and respond, feeding the TrueTone500 machine instead of ignoring him (and charveldan), probably
due to boredom, curiosity, and/or good old apathy.
-Guitarists love drama.
-Here we are 21 pages later.

Is Coles Notes a Canadian version of Cliff's Notes? :D

I loved that horrible We are Stars tribute vid.. what is worse is that it looks Canadian. Def. doesn't represent us well i'd say. There was one dude with a strat that totally ripped though. Another guy had Judas Priest Ram it Down tone so he gets a pass. Everyone else was shiite.

Yes, we did. It was back in 80/81 that we devised a method of communicated around the keg at parties. Let's say a hottie approached the keg, and we wanted to comment... Instead of saying; "I'd like to suck on those huge f#cking tits...", we would say; I'd like tyou syuck on thyose hyuge fyuckin tyots. A girl (Paisley) who use to run with our group ended up dating a Orlando area DJ by the name of Pat Lynch. Pat began using it on the radio, and it went from there...

It's not pronounced bee-otch. It's beeawch - or byawch. One syllable, not two!

I'd be careful posting fictional stories on here. Someone might steal them and sell them for money.

Why are we even discussing this?

You are the one bringing it up bragging about it as if it's some accomplishment.

I am so confused. Thoroughly entertained, but confused

@TrueTone500 (or whoever you are/were/will be...) - You clearly like the tone of Billy's "Solder Splatter 100", and that's cool. To be completely honest, I like what I heard in the clips, too. It's everything else about the amp, the builder and the "business" that makes it a purchase I would never (ever) consider. If I read all of the posts correctly, you think it's the greatest amp in the world, but you have no need for an amp like that, so you don't own one. That's cool, too. What I don't understand is why you keep trying to convince everyone else that it's a great amp, that Billy is a wonderful person and we should all buy his products. If you don't own one or have any intention of buying one and you don't work for the company or make money endorsing the product, why is this such a hot-button topic for you?
You need to understand, that MANY recognize RT as the forum that basically aided Mark Cameron in ripping-off musicians. At the first sign of impropriety, the Cameron sub-forum should have been taken down! Billy Blades is one Cameron victim who decided to channel his frustration (what an artist does) into creating his own interpretation of what he was looking for before Mark Cameron ripped-off his amp, and his money.

I don't need to defend Mr. Blades... His talents have already caught the attention of legendary music producer Michael Wagener. This, and any discussion concerning Blades Amplification is basically free publicity!

I'm just here playing with the marionettes... ;)
How do you know Billy ever sent an amp to Mark to begin with? Oh I know, because Billy said he did.
