Wait. Did you post a clip? I didn't see anythin that indicated a new clip in your list of clips.

Where are you guys keeping your Pre-EQ on the Red channel? I've noticed that with the gain under 11:00, B2 is just too bright...N and B1 seem much better, and B1 also adds more gain. (From what I can tell)
I agree. I keep both of mine in b1, and swith back and forth between tight and medium.

Thanks man. I have a Cameron Jose on it's way too. We'll see if it stays.

I had an 06 model and the RED channel was really tight. Prior to owning one, I had heard that it was a loose head so I was really surprised. Of course, the Pre EQ settings have alot to do with where your sound ends up. Pretty much anything is possible on that head..
One of the best lead amps ive ever played and the Clean is to die for..That whole amp sounds like its a living breathing thing! :worship:

Well I'm on beer 8... went to Wild West guitars, online financing was over 21%APR. Man I love tone and I'm buzzed but I ain't fukin retarted. Well maybe a little but I ain't doing that deal. I'f I'm smart I'll wait and see how thing pan out here soon. In the next few months we should be getter rid of some major debt. If we pull it off then I can do some very serious gear shopping!

I like greenbacks.

I like 'em with Marshalls, I like 'em with Bogners, MkIIC+'s, Splawn, hell I even liked em with Rectos!!!

The only combinations I ever used is one of my cabs has two pre Rola G12M's and two pre rola G12H-30's and I thought it sounded pretty damn good.

The XTC sounds good with V30's though, I don't like them with a lot of amps.

So anyway...how about those speaker combos? :D

I have a Bogner G12H30 cab that sounds great and also a V30/G12H30 X-pattern cab which sounds really good too, a little more modern sounding with a tad more punch and mid slice.

I tried Greenbacks but wasn't too keen on them, went back to the G12H's and it sounded like someone had pressed the 'loudness' button! Wasn't that fond of the all V30 cab either, although it sounds better with the XTC than anything else I've tried.

I couldn't get the V30's out of my Bogner Cab quick enough. Hated them with my '07 XTC. Popped a Greenback set in and smooth city! I hate V30's, and think they only fit Mesa amps. I put Greenbacks in everything else. If I need higher power handling, then it's H30's.

One of my Bogner 4x12's is V30 and H30. It's definitely brighter than my other cabs (all v30's, Governor and Emi 75 clone in X, and all Governors). I think the people that think the Ex is too dark would like the H30's, but I've never felt that way about it.

I have Ted Weber 1225's in my Bogner cabs.....

Can't stand the V30's....they sound like an AM radio!

The red channel has the high gain mod standard now. But the whole amp seams to sound better overall. Especially the blue channel. A lot more usable to me.

Yeah Ive found the amp over all sounded better. It was a bit more open and more top end.

I'm running my Cameron modded XTC into a 4-12 with a mix of Celestion Golds and G12-65's, together with a pair of V30's in my 2-12's. It's a beautiful thing!

I'm in the minority in that I like the 101B with the Bogner slant 4x12 w/ V30's...never felt the need to dick with it at all
