Hey Guys,
Nobody wants these on the street more than me. We are in the home stretch now. I came off the bench to climb this mountain not really knowing what I was getting myself into but thinking "how hard could it be"? Well it is hard.
There has been hurdles and road blocks to getting this launched. Remember Mark couldn't get it done in the last 8 years even with a deep pocket investor Chris Schmidt in the past. I have been at it for about 6 months and we are close to having them ready. I realize the nature of the beast with gear is "I want it now" I dont blame ya, I was same way when I was buying tons of stuff in the past. In retrospect I should of took the dumble/Ken Lawrence tact with these and totally under promised when we could have them ready. Lesson learned for any future amps if I even bother to launch the CCM and Other Cameron gear after the CCV.
Bottom line is you wont get F*&cked, you will get one of the best amps in the world and we are doing everything in the world to get them on the UPS truck. Rokker, you know me and we have done lots of stuff together. you will never get screwed over. I am sorry you sold off every amp waiting for the CCV, I would of told you not to do that with any new launch. in the end you will lov your new CCV once your rocking it and the pain of the wait will be behind ya.
Brad is absolutely right. What everyone has to understand is that we could have just put out the original ccv as it was in 3 months. And maybe this was a mistake, but Brad and I wanted to add options that we would want on the CCV. So we added Midi, a line out and a Metro loop. Also, we had to change the main board to fix issues from the original design and also make it compatible with the new board. In the world of amp design, these are huge undertakings. And after all thats figured out, we have to teach the manufacturing company how to make the amp, which isnt as easy as u would think it would. Then you order all the parts, chassis, transformers, head shells etc to build 25 amps. And then u get hit with the reality that chassis are going to be at least 6 weeks, head shells and cabs at least 4 weeks.
Also theres other hurdles, brother Brad is on the east coast and has spent at least a month away from his family to help me with this project. But, theres nothing he can help me with other than sales when hes across the country. I run Tone Merchants, Friedman Amplification, Rack Systems, Cameron Amplification and starting up Luxxtone guitars. So, my hands are full and especially when I have guys screaming at me for axe 2s all day.
So in 8 months, we have made huge changes to the original design and added killer features. We have designed and built a web site for Cameron Amplification and the fist run of amps are being built as we I write this. Other amp companies, have announced amps that everyone has wanted and two and 3 years later, they still arent out. Like Brad said, Mark has been at this for 8 years with at one time an open check book and couldnt get it done. We will have a better sounding, more efficient/reliable and more feature laden amp out in 8 months.
ok im done with my vent. Anyone who sends me a pm asking me if I want cheese with my wine, gets a kick in the balls
