That’s just not statistically true brother. Places with mandates didn’t fare any better than anywhere else with infection rates. Usually worse. Not causal, just places with mandates typically were very blue, very populated urban cities.
Dictates and demands are never the way to go. People would've been more receptive to "we recommend a mask" than "you MUST wear a mask"

I didn't. Acknowledging that masks restrict and contain is different from acknowledging that masks restrict and contain viruses, or that they do so to the extent that they can alter infection rates.
What I found was that if I was ready to throw a shit fit over masks suddenly I was the only person who wasn't required to wear them. The whole club had to wear masks, staff and all, and could only remove them when seated. How dumb is that? I can't hack that level of stupidity since it was also an outdoor club!!! I refused to wear one at all and since I am the entertainment and put up a fight about it, voila, no mask for me! Being ready to go to war at all times pays dividends but you have to be prepared to lose a few battles. Hence the hershey syrup EPSTAIN hanes i kept in my truck.
I agree the roll out of all the programs were absolute garbage. Both Biden and Trump stepped all over their dicks during the entire pandemic. I just think statistics with an endless amount of variables are not viable. It's too easy to spin however you want to.

First, I don't see any inconsistency here. I have familiarized myself with the literature on masks and their efficacy as they relate to virus transmission. That's just assuming the currently accepted framework. I didn't say that I necessarily accept the field of virology itself or that I'm not skeptical about the existence of things like the Higgs Boson. I'm just not arguing that stuff presently.
