Sam, there are plenty of ways to discredit him. Did you use PP balance for your payment or did it pull from a credit card or bank account. If so, PP is only the facilitator of payment. The credit card companies can do more to mash on him. Also, he probably could be reported to the FBI for interstate commerce fraud, the IRS for not reporting income, the state of Indiana for not taking sales tax on items (cash sales) not leaving the state. You could take out a defamation advertisement in the local newspaper. News media also love to investigate business fraud though the local TV stations. You probably won't get a cab, but it would be fun watching the turd wiggle like a worm on a hot rock.

I should look through my emails, I remember a string of excuses and a lot of delays where there should have been none. I'd never buy a cabinet from him again, dude was a pain in the ass to work with and it looks like nothing has changed, shame.

I've got a complete e-mail correspondence file saved on the computer. He's got more excuses than Kellogg's has Cornflakes. Those freak summer storms knocking the server out are best though. I've got some where he was sick, his wife was sick, someone broke into his place, he was on the road with some band, waiting on speakers, couldn't get lumber since the hurricanes on the Gulf Coast, global warming, etc.

I sent my money for you to produce me a product. I don't really give a shit if you are sick, your wife is sick, your kid is sick, your manufacturer delays. NOT MY PROBLEM STUD. I am not Dr. Phil, the Catholic mission, the electric company, or any of that. Hell, hire a fucking staff, train someone, secure your supplies before taking orders. It's all about piss-poor planning, stealing, false advertisement, etc. Hell, I would love to hear someone say, "I can't take any orders right now because of XXXXXX delays", or there has been illness in the family, please check back in 4 weeks", or "my speaker supplier is running short right now and I am looking for an alternative". At least I would know a dude is honest.

Wow... what an informative thread. I had actually considered one of his 2x12 cabs. Pretty set on getting some Splawn cabs now anyway, but this is all good to know so I don't get the urge to order anything from him in the future.

I wish Todd would chime in and update us on his particular situation!

Isn't retrospect great? None of those (I think) do fancy wood finishes though.

Anyway, I'll get in touch with my bank and see if they can help then seeing as all else hasn't been much use yet. Though I'm still waiting for replies from the FBI and other the other guys I mailed this morning.

I've dealt with Dave at Avatar and Scott & Josh at Splawn for my cabs and received nothing but the best treatment and quick delivery at a fair cost...and they were making a custom cab for me - not something already made. They'll even sit there on the phone with you patiently while you ask dumb questions LOL.

PS: wait time was like 2-3 weeks in both cases.

Yeah in my few dealings with Dave at Avatar, he seems like the kind of guy who will bend over backwards to make sure you're happy with the transaction. First class all the way. You get a lot of bang for your buck with Avatar.

I bought a BuzzBomb from Tim on Ebay about 5 years ago and it took weeks to get when he told me it was already built and ready to ship. I sent numerous emails asking why and he told me that they had a bad storm and flood issues seems that Tim likes to use this excuses alot even years prier. I eventually got it but sold it shortly after. I would never do businesses with EarCandy Cabs again. GoodLuck to the OP.
