So, are they actually demoing these amps at the NAMM show? I can't believe no clips are posted yet on youtube....it is driving me crazy.

Well, crap. I liked the Tourmaster, but it wasn't metal enough for me. Guess I have to try these.

They listen.

What is the double decker looking think with its own case and handle? The E2? Looks like it comes with a new footswitch so one would not need a separate midi controller.

It's true....I recall Bruce actually asked in a few places what people look for in a metal tone....so hopefully those new amps are dialed closer than the modular stuff.

Is that the powergrid on top of the Vengeance?

If so, what does it do?

The Armageddon has the ISP decimator g string built into the amp!!!

I think it's a patch panel for speaker cabs. XLR out for connecting to mixer, recording, etc. Also the three quarter inch jacks could be input >series>parallel outs to other cabs! Rocker switches for cab emulation? It looks to be mounted for display purposes.

I have a question about the E2:

If I get the thing correctly, I can understand using it with a power amp. But how would you use it with a Mod 50 or another amp? If you run it through the effects loop, isn't that like two modules at once? Wouldn't that be kind of weird, or is that the point?

It has a switching system in it so that you can choose between your amps preamp or the E2's preamp. I THINK the chain would be something like:

guitar --> E2 input --> E2 Send --> amp input --> Amp Send --> E2 return --> E2 Out --> amp Return

That way you can bypass your amps preamp or use it.

It's still a little confusing to me. I can see putting it in between the guitar and amp, but wouldn't you then just take the E2's output and go into the amp's return? How would it switch out the amp's pre-amp? Would it work on something like a Tourmaster? (GAS attack coming!)

I think I get it. You bypass it and your guitar is going right into your amp like the E2 isn't there. Click it in and it "interrupts" the guitar signal, sending it through the effects loop, which I *think* is independent of the pre-amp.

Is that it? It is still a little confusing to me.

How much is that Armageddon? And when is it gonna be available in the GC?

Len, if the final version of the E2 is as stated, it will have a switchable loop (midi ?) to use with any amp that has a series effects loop so all can have Egnater modular bliss to enhance whatever they're using! You can switch between the E2 or whatever your amps preamp is and let the switcher send the choosen signal to the amps effects return!

Don't tell me they are making more Chinese amps???? Are the new metalhead amp, CHinese made?

My thoughts on this are, that every builder's (inventors, etc. etc.) dream is for their product to become BIG...I think Egnater's dream has come true and am happy for it. Recently the same has happened to other companies like PRS, Fulltone, Bogner and the latest one is Suhr guitars. Others will follow...

PS. I also have a Mod 50, and am anxious to hear about new stuff for it...like the E2, the Mark module, the Mark module and the Mark module...

Totally understand Brian....I jusy always hate to see production jobs taken away from people in this country only to have it substituted with cheap Chinese labor. Anyhoo...I have a TM212...so who am i to say???

Any news on the new MARK MODULE???????????? :D

any idea of new mods?
There were supose to be a new mod at 09 namm and nothing. I think they are spread out in so many projects it's difficult for them to focus in one area. Don't get me wrong luv the Egnater line but let's face it the E2 still isn't done, a year and a half no new mods. They are just to big and popular (really fast) and still a small company (employee wise) to keep up. It is great they are still coming up with new amps and have them in GC but I feel the mod section is on the back burner.
It's nice they are still a small personal company, we just have to have patients and hope one day some new mods are released and besides they have just about every amp tone covered with out stepping on other builders toes. Just my 2cents and venting.

Is this a fact? I'd be real disappointed if it’s still not ready; I think it’s been made real clear on this forum that pretty much all of us want one.

It’s been what? Two years + we’ve been waiting for it? And I’m not down with the first 100 with two modules package; I want just the E2, I have the modules.

Crap I had a custom made amp rack case made just for when the E2 is released… 2 YEARS AGO. Ended up selling that case it to Jeff.

OK I’ll stop freaking but damn it I want my E2!
