Not at all surprising, I'm not sure I even understand why the question.

Totally understand Brian....I jusy always hate to see production jobs taken away from people in this country only to have it substituted with cheap Chinese labor. Anyhoo...I have a TM212...so who am i to say???

Any news on the new MARK MODULE???????????? :D

 What jobs? Egnater never had a staff of twenty people making them and then fired those people and sent the jobs elsewhere. There really is no logic in your statement at all. And if your are talking about potential jobs that could have theoretically been given to Americans then that suggestion is also of the mark. At the cost of doing business in America these amps would be priced beyond a competitive point and therefore would not exist. Either way your argument is null & void.

This has all been gone over a million times so ... why oh why ... :bash:

How much is that Armageddon? And when is it gonna be available in the GC?

I see you're itching to try this amp out too! As soon as I saw it, I knew it was something I was gonna have to give a go. I dug the Tourmaster head, but didn't gel with it live...especially with Rick's Uberschall. From what I heard in the vid, it seems like this may be able to hang with it.

Goddamn, Rick.

It sounds like it could be a great substitute for my Hebert live. I've been gigging with my Einstein for the last few months, but in all honesty I don't feel that comfortable dragging my Diezels to gigs, especially given that I'm a type of guy who just drops his shit in at loading time & comes back when it's the show time, and while guys are watching my stuff, I can't expect them guard my shit every minute.

BTW, my bandmates hate me   The other guitar dude plays with his half stack against my 1x12 Einstein rig & every time he's like "dude, can you turn that down a little bit".  Try a couple of of EVM12Ls in your cab, man, they are just too cool in a band mix. I'd expect your mesa rig overpower Rick's Bogner with EVMs. Or you can get a used plexi with a boost/drive pedal & Rick will be looking for a different amp to be able to keep up with you!!

any idea of new mods?
There were supose to be a new mod at 09 namm and nothing. I think they are spread out in so many projects it's difficult for them to focus in one area. Don't get me wrong luv the Egnater line but let's face it the E2 still isn't done, a year and a half no new mods. They are just to big and popular (really fast) and still a small company (employee wise) to keep up. It is great they are still coming up with new amps and have them in GC but I feel the mod section is on the back burner.
It's nice they are still a small personal company, we just have to have patients and hope one day some new mods are released and besides they have just about every amp tone covered with out stepping on other builders toes. Just my 2cents and venting.

Is this a fact? I'd be real disappointed if it’s still not ready; I think it’s been made real clear on this forum that pretty much all of us want one.

It’s been what? Two years + we’ve been waiting for it? And I’m not down with the first 100 with two modules package; I want just the E2, I have the modules.

Crap I had a custom made amp rack case made just for when the E2 is released… 2 YEARS AGO. Ended up selling that case it to Jeff.

OK I’ll stop freaking but damn it I want my E2!

This on the other hand is pretty fair criticism IMO. Really not much in store this year or last for us faithful, hardcore.

The EG5 and the X mod are about the only thing that has happened here in our world since basically the entir emodule line went dual channel and that is just not enough I feel. How about a MOD 30? Maybe next year.

How could you integrate an E2 into a current Renegade head rig? Would you have to give up the Renegade preamp section??

Or how would it integrate into a MOD50 rig as well?

Was kinda disappointed no new modular stuff and the E2 didn't work long and I really didn't get to play with it  looks cool tho

...On the plus side I had heard that Doug reynolds from Randall may be working with them which is great, he is a cool guy.
I have not seen Jeff H perhaps Bruce and John are working on the GC line ,and Jeff is back in Detroit working on the MOD stuff..

just a guess

Quit whining modular crybabies

change your tubes speakers pickups and get your modules modded by Friedman or buy pedals

if you can't find your tone with all the currently available modules and options
your problem isn't the lack of more modules it's you and your OCD problems

for cryin out loud the guy just released three new products

I don't agree it's whining. As a person who plays many different styles of music it's nice to have a large selection of amps and tones to choose from. Playing a different mod and maybe a different guitar gives a feeling that sometimes sparks and helps create songs.

When it comes to getting help with a problem with your mod amp or modules and the builder is busy with GC or other company sales line, and I understand Bogner and Egnater are expanding amp lines and income, then it's a concern.

Being told every 3-6 months that something new is coming out or is almost finished and it not happening after 2 years just Sucks.

E2 at namm still doesn't seem to work, but hey there are 3 new chineese made Egnater amps at GC.

Mod series, there are the M4 and Mod50 and about 10 modules in the past 2 years. Custom Botique amp line.

Rebel 20 30, tweaker, Renagade, Armagedon, Vengence, and Tour Master GC line.

Seems like customer support from the Botique side is slacking along with the production line.

Botique is where he started. Not like he started with GC and then went out and did a few botique amps and back to GC.

The support originally came from his amp building, customizing and repair.

I feel the same, especially having an amp that needed some help for over a year and I still love the tones I get but.........

No new modular stuff @ NAMM was kind of a letdown. I loved the Tweaker (I think its better and smaller than the Rebel), but still. The E2 is pretty close to being done from what Ive heard, they just discovered a slight bug and the timing was unfortunate. The intent was I believe to have E2 playable this year so the effort was there. They just discovered a slight technical problem.

Man, I feel the same way as well, I love my EGGY stuff but.... :gethim:

I didn't agree with that guy who said he wanted to throw his Tourmaster down the toilet (another thread) but I do agree that Egnater needs to beef up its local repair network. Here in Boston there are plenty of people more than capable of being authorized Egnater repair people. If you start putting good quality equipment in GC you are going to start selling a lot of it, like they have. A little growth in some other areas like a repair network wouldn't hurt. If they do it carefully maybe they can have the best of both worlds- I think Mesa and PRS are models of that that Egnater might look to.

Hey, I think you guys are in a Namm youtube video at the Bogner booth, judging by Nick's photos.

Excellent points 3MS. I don't want to take this political, but I think manufacturers, including Bruce & Co. get beat up a lot, often unfairly, on this topic, so I think it is fair to take the other side, especially since the NAMM products were largely off-shore. The points 3MS make are a logical fact so often missed in the emotional argument against any overseas-made product. Make it in the US = much higher cost to the consumer = far fewer people able to afford the product = far fewer products sold = very few American jobs needed to produce the product, ergo producing elsewhere does not "take away" jobs the way that it is may seem. If these amps were made in the US, they would cost the same as a MOD 50....and if they cost the same as a MOD 50, there would be no point in making these amps at all.

If we follow the assumption that these amps would not exist if they were not made overseas, it might even be the case that producing these amps in Asia has actually CREATED American jobs. Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe there is an entire Egnater office in California now that handles the import and distribution of the Asian Eggie line. I assume these were new job created to handle the line that would not exist if they were still only making MOD 50s in Michigan....food for thought.

I don't think most people realize the HUGE disparity between US labor rates and overseas labor rates. It's not like a few dollars - it is HUGE. According to a few reports I've read, the average wage for a US factory worker is somewhere around $20-25/hour or more, depending on the industry. The average wage for many Asian countries is somewhere around $1/hour, sometimes less, depending on country. In many countries, workers earn not much more than $1/day. There is simply no way American companies can compete with these kind of labor rates.

It can't be both ways - we can't keep happily buying cheap products but then complain that they aren't made in the US.

....and now back to your regularly scheduled program...sorry for the interruption...

Hahaha. Yeah, that's me. That new little Bogner Brixton is a badass combo! And that New Yorker had is cool too. Great stuff. Reinhold was dressed crazy as usual! haha.

Man, I love my Mod so much and about the only thing I'm still looking forward to (and kind of disappointed it's not out yet) is the E2. But if Jason has had a problem with his Mod 100 for a year and still can't get it fixed (when they've come out with three new amps), then that is an issue that needs addressed in my mind.
