This whole thing is kind of funny in a sad sort of way. I really don't know why he feels the need to start shit like this. He used to be a lot worse. :eek:

Funny you should ask....
It can do both.
Clean can be dialed in from sparkling clean(green), low volume Plexi(orange) and cranked Plexi (red).
Crunch takes you from there to a hot rodded JCM800...It nails tones like ACDC etc...
Then OD1 can be dialed in with some sponge and sag, or can be dialed in super tight. It all depends on how you have the EQ, presence and resonance knobs set.
Like I said, the OD1 in orange mode has more than enough gain to do the tightest heavy music..
Then OD2 is a much tighter, modern channel with a certain scoop to the frequencies, but it does not loose the midrange definition.
The amp gives out what you put in, and responds very very well to the guitars pickups and volume knob.
My Suhr and Ralphs GMW sounded like completely different animals through the same amp....
The guy who designed this amp had the gear junky in mind while building it. He thought of every feel possible and nailed it.
I'm still shocked at how great the response and clarity from the amp is. And the fact that you can take a single channel and mode and make it do super tight to saggy is amazing...

Im pretty sure that I would prefer the 65's but I don't have a cab loaded with them. Once I get my debt squared away, I would like to get a cab with 65's and a Cab with the weber pre-rola greenback clones. I would pretty much be set!!

I must not have read that because that is just plain silly. You can't have an amp for one day and make that much of a decision on what it can do. Yikes... that goes for a 2 channel amp let alone a 4 channel one!!
Hell Steve and I played the sucker from 9pm to 1am and Im sure we didn't even scratch the surface. There are also guys on this site who were thinking about getting rid of the JVM, and for one reason or another they kept it only to be VERY happy that they did.
 
I'm gonna shit a brick if mine arrives today, and you can bank on me posting a clip the same day or the day after.

I don't care if my playing is shit (cause it is!) - so I just post whatever...lol
