Damnit. 
I have been wanting to NOT want one of these and what I am reading is telling me I may need to try one out.
Sounds like Marshall finally stepped up to the plate.
On a side note, Carl, I will paraphrase what I said in another thread.:
You seem to have a huge amount of knowledge, but sure do come accross bad often.
You have picked fights with JB and ZAO recently (and LOADS of others over time) and they are 2 of the nicest guys around.
Sad.
Oh yeah... I agree 100% with what Ralph said about the options available today. If you can't find someting to give you great tone....

You guys are killing me over here. I may have to break down and get one of these provided I can slap it on a card. Damn I am holding off buying one because I dont have any CC debt. But man this is making me want some CC debt really really bad LOL!!

Ralph, do you have a 2x12 with h30's and/or greenbacks? I am really interested how this head comes across with a 2x12 with greenbacks as opposed to ta 4x12. Wonder what and avatar oversized2x12 with greenbacks would sound like with this head?...

I agree that Shea can work with it but Im not sure its going to "fit" him. I could be wrong but I just dont think it feels or sounds like a Superbass and that seems ot be his thing. The JVM is great amp and very versatile and sounds great IMHO but for some it may be a bit too "modern".Gainfreak":e945e said:

All I said is that it can get heavier and tighter than most high gainers out there including Framus, Diezel, Engl etc.... And the cleans are the best Marshall has made to date. It can also pull off all the old school Marshall heads with no problem.
It's an amazing amp all around. If I was given a blind test between the JVM and the ones I mentioned, I would easily pick the JVM without question...Even the trendy, drop tuned, Metal guys will love this amp.

about the squeeling... I wouldnt be suprised if a few left the factory with something wrong with them... It is Marshall after all. They dont have the greatest QC...
