Gamers: PS3 or Xbox?

Right now, Xbox.

However, after Mass Effect, I don't know if there's a single 360 game worth waiting for. I haven't heard of any.

PS3 on the other hand has MGS4, the new Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo 5, LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout Ratchet and Clank, Killzone, Uncharted all coming out in the next year or so.

Right now, get an Xbox, then when it breaks in a few months, get a PS3.

The only games you mentioned i would want to play are KIllzone and maybe a new Final Fantasy. The 360 has coming Halo Wars,Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, PGR4, Fable 2. Plus, I'll still be playing Halo3 online a year from now. And i can't imagine how good Gears Of War 2 will be.

A PS3 game i would want to play is Warhawk. I loved it on the original Playstation.

Twilight Princess, Metroid, Resident Evil 4, and Godfather are all really fun single player games and use the Wii Mote capabilities well.

Zelda and RE4 are GC games, Metroid was butchered, and Godfather, while fun at first, gets old.

Aside from Rayman Raving Rabbids and Wii Sports, unfortunately, that's about as good as it gets for the Wii.

The new Warioware should have been awesome, but it has much, much less to it than the GC one did. The multiplayer completely blows, and the new single player mode still isn't worth bothering with.

The Wii is a gimmick. One of the worst gaming systems ever IMO.

The only reason why it's a gimmick is because of the lack of third party support. I really enjoy the control system. It's different than the same controller or keyboard I've been using for many years.

And you can tell this because the only good games really quite worth playing aside from Resident Evil 4 is Twilight Princess (if you dig your games inverted horizontally) or Metroid Prime 3, which is a real fun title and I'm a Metroid fanboy.

I can't stand the controller, I think it's more annoying than anything else. Plus the fact that it's a typical Nintendo system that gets maybe 1 great game every few months if you're lucky. The horrid graphics don't help anything either. Way too many great games for 360 and PS3 for me to even care about the Wii.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that it has "horrid" graphics. It clearly had better capabilities than the GC from day one, and there are some GC games that look better than 360 games coming out to this day. It just depends on what people want to do with it. A lot of it comes down to how much time the developers are going to invest in the details of the graphics. A bunch of processing power doesn't magically make all the fine details appear that make games look more realistic today. They spend ass loads of time and money making that happen themselves, because people expect it, at least with the 360 and PS3. And that's why I don't think there's ever going to be a difference between the PS3 and 360. The only limitation they seem to have with current technology is the number of people they can handle playing online at once. "Next generation graphics" are their thing, while "next generation game play" is the Wii's thing.

And besides, it's just going to be a bunch of Nintendo games. Who gives a flying carp on a stick if Mario's mustache is in 1080p or not?

I don't think it's a gimmick, as there is infinite potential there, but no one but Nintendo is taking advantage of it, and they take for freaking ever.

For some games, it is a gimmick, because they take something that played just fine with a regular controller, and then switch it out for poorly conceived, partial motion sensing control, like it's something that's never been seen before. But there are some sorts of games that could really use it to a huge advantage over a controller, like FPSs and RTSs. Like I said, though, no one is taking advantage of that.

Biggest issue with the Wii, IMO, is the lack of not only currently games, but upcoming games. I can only find one game I would want to play (latest Zelda), and that can be played on my GC (which also isn't that great of a system).

The Wii will eventually get Super Smash Bros. Brawl, probably in 2057. That's about the only new game for anything I want at all. I don't think any of them are doing so hot. Nobody really has anything new for their new consoles. It's just the same tired shit being rehashed over and over. SSBB isn't even anything new. It will still be almost the same game as the N64 one.

So far there's just been Gears of War, and that's about the only thing new that held anyone's attention, but I found it pretty lame. Epic definitely half assed it just because it was a console game, and they're supposed to make more. Three team deathmatch variations for different multiplayer modes is pitiful.

The last generation was pretty much identical. I had a lot of fun playing Super Smash Bros. Melee, and...that's it. The GC RE1 remake was also good, but it was still just an old game.

I think Smash Bros. is incredibly stupid. The only cool thing about the new one is that Solid Snake is in it.

So fucking true! I never cared for the SSB series because it's only fun if you have other people around, and to be honest, I don't have time to gather friends together to play a game. In fact, I find all Nintendo games to be that way ever since the N64 was released. It's like there are no real good single-player games.

I think the Wii'll die off in a couple of years simply because developers know the only people that make money from Nintendo projects is Nintendo themselves, since most Nintendo-ers only buy Mario games, Smash Bros games, Metroid, and whatever else comes from first-party development.

I don't care about Halo. Mass Effect looks alright but nothing to buy a system over. PGR4 is already out and the series has worn out its welcome. Fable looks okay, but I can't see anything for 360 that has to be played.

PGR4 is amazing. By far the best one in the series. I can't wait to get my stupid system back so I can play it some more.

Yeah, that's exactly my problem. I have not enjoyed a single player game in ages. Sometimes, I start to get into it, but then it just abruptly ends, and I never want to play it again and feel like I wasted my money. Nobody gives a flying carp on a stick about replay value anymore, and that's what really makes or breaks a game.

In some instances, multiplayer can make up for it, like with the SSB games, which me and my friends have never gotten tired of, but even that's typically not enough. If the single player game was half assed, then there's little chance that the multiplayer is good enough to make the game. It has to be one or the other.

Maybe that's the problem with games today? Back in the day, there was no four player or online multiplayer, and little to no simultaneous multiplayer of any sort, so there was no significant emphasis on it. Now, attention is divided between the two, except for in a few cases, like RPGs for single player games, and FPSs like Unreal Tournament that are basically designed 100% as mutliplayer games. But those sorts of games are few and far between.

That's what happened to the new Warioware. They tried to make a single player game out of it, and it completely blows. The multiplayer is totally butchered, and barely even worth playing.

Oh yeah, and Mario games are boring as heck.

I wish Sega would reinvent the Sonic franchise somehow. The last really great one was probably Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast. The first one on Dreamcast was so sweet at the time it came out.

Sonic appears in Smash Bros Brawl and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games... So i'm not too sure what else they plan on doing with him anytime soon...

The wii is selling much better than both the ps3 and the xbox. Third partry developers would be retarded to abandon the wii

That's because people are buying it for the novelty factor and to play Wii sports with Grandma every so often. They're not going to buy anything that Nintendo doesn't release - ie, anything except Mario-associated games.

But none of those are out yet, and it's still selling like hot cakes. When they do start hitting, they'll just keep flying off of shelves as they have been for a good while to come.

More consoles = more people to buy games = more games made

And that's the bottom line, cuz Stone Cold said so!
