It is a nice picture. I just think it's weird to see a picture of a nice sunrise or other beautiful creation and then start thinking about science. Have a good day at work Daniel.

Some people just enjoy knowing why things work the way they work. It’s why I like fixing things.
 
It was actually Venus that first caught my eye this morning and get me paying more attention. It was hard to photo though so I settled for a sunrise instead
 
Try hand digging a 2x2 hole 3’ deep in someone’s front yard through the permafrost with a shovel. When it’s 12 degrees out. That put a picture in my mind but it sure as fuck wasn’t Venus. 🤣🤣

I can't even do that when it's 100 degrees out. The deepest hole I am able to manage here is about 16" without using a hammer drill, jackhammer, or calling in someone with a bobcat equipped with a hole digging attachment. Even a jackhammer doesn't really cut it. The upside is my slab is on solid bedrock.

I live on a river so the dirt is great. I dug 6 piers 48” deep and belled out at the bottom for 12” Sonotube to build my shop on. Took me about 3 hours total.

Unfortunately I’m at work not my house.

I thankfully haven’t had to dig any holes today, but I’ve used up two cans of MAP gas thawing out valve covers so I could isolate a fire protection leak. Luckily they are marked in the snow
We lost almost 100,000 gallons before anyone noticed though

I used map gas to unthaw the locks on the utility bins on my work truck this morning.

I would like to burn down all the whore houses, titty bars, porn shops, and smut manufacturing studios. I don't believe in any of that filthy shit. Tear them down level with the ground and put something worthwhile up. Hit the owners with felony charges and lock them up for a couple decades. When they become victims of prison inmates whose sexuality they helped warp with their filthy wares they will have received their just desserts.
