I don't know man, they seem like nice guitars to me and they have great tuning stability. Why do you think there are so many endorsers? Because they're top notch Japanese made guitars.

I've been a Metallica fan since I was about 13 or 14 and I'm still a fan at 41. No one has written a better thrash album than MOP, and I'll stick by that opinion till I die.

...and believe me, I love those two bands.

That Kirk played a black les Paul custom. Which was the point that started this off topic discussion in the first place.

It was a joke, shared among those that probably quit Metallica after the black album.....or in the almost 4 years that they took to put it out. ?

It was a terrible album, one of many, imo....and a distinct marker of when most older fans stopped being fans.

They wouldn't know that he played one... because he didn't when they were fans.

But that E-II logo bullshit doesn't fly with me. Nor do all the Kirk ESP's with cheesy graphics... That all blacked out LPC however... :unsure:I'm kinda contemplating changing the hardware to all black on my black Burny LPC. Shit looks good. Did it with my Tokai Hard Puncher bass. Thing looks like a stealthy ninja now.

I think led zepplin is a bunch of boring, boomer, "oh baby baby" bullshit, but i'd never say they're a terrible band because their contribution to the history of rock and roll can't be denied even though its not for me.

Well, I meant more the signature stuff that's a rip off of Gibson or other brands. Truckster, Iron Cross... the KH abomination above. Even the E-II in Vintage Black I owned felt like a toy. Beautiful in photos, not so much in real life. Looked like a cell-shaded LP Black Beauty Custom with Cheese-Wiz colored fake aged binding.

One of my favorite guitars is an LTD Elite M-II. It was that weird transitional period where everyone got pissed the old ESP Standard said LTD on the headstock, so they morphed that line into E-II. Amazing guitar.
