Gibson Announces Limited Mark IIC++

One for each song he can almost play

I was genuinely curious, I don’t understand why have three of the exact same amp or guitars, unless it was a sick touring rig which would then be cool as fuck, or even just investment pieces, “because I can” though sounds like some rocknchippy kind of flex, but to each their own

I hate Gibson, but they bought Mesa to make money, so this appears in line with that objective. Do any of you get this upset when your company raises prices or has limited offerings?

No, I don’t get mad at people for wanting to make money. I have no personal connection to any company, guitars an amps are a tool for me to create music, I have no brand loyalties

This 💯. Even back in the day, we knew what was going to be investment items, it just wasn't what we were targeting. It was pretty easy to see old Marshall and Mesa were going to only go up in value, and they were relatively expensive even back in the day for prime examples. I never got into the collector aspect, but I don't fault anyone either. As I'm getting older though, I'm starting to think what I'm going to even do with the collection I already have. If I can't get my kids into it, it's going to wind up in some estate sale I fear.

It just seems like a dick move IMO. Why not just go all out on the reissue and add the +/++ switch option in the first place? Maybe even add another $200 if you must. But, that’s not the Gibson way and the ++ model will sell out anyway so we should all just shut the fuck up and take that Gibson dick like a Roman soldier I guess

… I know it’s hard for you being a professional Canadian fluffer to save up money… you suck twice as many dicks but only get paid half what you would make here in the US… maybe your husband will buy you one.

yeah i never once bought an amp worried about resale value or what its gonna be worth down the line, i just buy amps cause i like having different tones and thats what inspires me to play. i dont fault anyone for doing that either, its just not my thing. Car guys do the same shit, its more a conversation piece for them and its like some big deal for them to drive to the local car show once a year, fuck that lol

Frankly it’s none of your dam business…. But since you asked… I answered. You and your Canadian gay porn stunt man there.

I’m not ashamed for working hard and being able to buy what I want. Get a job if it really bugs you that much… or a second one.

There are plenty of people here that have 10 of the same Marshall 2203 or SLP… so gtfo with that “l was curious… shit” there are clubs for you and your Canadian friend where you can explore your curiosity…

Gotta luv the haters.

we get along, so no smoke, but you could have just said "because I feel like it", and everyone here would understand.

Go back and reread my first post. I did. Then these two fuckwads (who have started this same shit with me before)… say how they don't understand why I own what I own… how they are curious… and how neither one has a pot to piss in or one to throw it out of… boohoo… so this is all they have.

I’m know thegayme is probably curious about how many hairs I have on my ass.

I get along with everyone involved, so I'll just bow out now.

I guess the problem isn`t so much the money grab, it`s about the general direction the company takes. Money grab and inovation does not get along very well. The first one is a safe bet to get some cash, the other one is risky and only pays out in the long run. Some Mesa designs were discontinued as sales were low. So you need a few shots before one hits the target. The payoff in the end is not money but building a legacy, it is not reacting to the market but actually directing the market.

Which direction Mesa will go is not clear, but there are signs Mesa is turning into a lukewarm company providing toys for the next tan-pants generation.

Why have three of one amp?? Two for touring and one for home?
Maybe one's a HRG, another a DRG, and another a SRG, also all amps sound different, even of the same model. You should know this.

oh wait, you have bad ears and can't even hear speaker break-in.

You sparked this fire, I merely fanned the flames. Shit, we better work on our alibis!

Tiago has an entire wall of Mesa and catches zero flack. Three of the same amp is just normal here so I don’t see the confusion 😂
Tiago procured most of, if not all his gear for a professional recording studio. So the stuff actually got used, and used well
