Gibson Announces Limited Mark IIC++

Interesting, thanks!

Yeah, I totally understand what youre saying, and it does make an intuitive sort of sense in a vacuum

But there's no way that I just magically have only played the amazing ones, and everyone else on earth magically got the shitty ones LOL

I've just played and interacted with too many damn guitars for that to be the case

I agree, Norlin era Gibsons are hidden gems. The neck profiles especially. My main gigging guitar was a ‘72 SG Custom and when I was looking for a backup I had a hell of a time finding a modern SG that felt close.

Yep. It's one of those things where the "common knowledge" in the public sphere is completely opposite of the actual experience

I've played one bad norlin era - one of the mini hum deluxes with a slightly warped neck - every other norlin i've played has been a home run

Another underrated Norlin gem are the RDs. Those things are fucking riff machines if you tear out the moog crap.

Three DRG Mark 2C+ amps when they were cheap, YES. A 1973 Goldtop LP Deluxe, routed for humbuckers cheap in the late 1980's, YES. Three C+ amps into a MESA amp switcher, all set differently, YES. Six EVM-12L loaded MESA cabs, YES.
