How can anyone seriously defend Cameron at this point?

Funny, we gave him a SL module 2 years ago and told him to play around with it and get back with us...never has....

Does he have anything to plug the module into after he mods it, like a Mod 50 or Randall RM100 head? How else do you play around with the circuit in something like that? He had talked about messing around with it to me before and bringing it down to my store to check it out in a Randall MTS head, but now he lives an hour away in fun, fun LA traffic.

The major difference is that he never held anyone's money during the time he was promising amps, and not delivering on those promises. Andrew changed his business strategy and started to produce amps like a champ. Knowing both Chris and Mark personally, I feel confident that they will right the situation sooner rather then later. Mark has THE BEST Marshall mods out there...PERIOD. Everyone that gets a CCV/CCM will be happier then a pig in shit with how they sound.

I don't think Odin is defending me. I don't have any money tied up, and no stake in anyone's company. Hell, I'm actually taking notes on all his [Odin's] tips on how to run an effective company. May help me in my career as a Plant Manager someday...

when i first spoke with scott about 2 years ago it was him and 2 guys building the amps, so thats 3 guys total, i forgot how many amps he was building a week but even if he was doing everything by himself he would still be alot quicker than cameron. like his amps or not scott is very reliable and appreciates his customers. people can get pissed all they want and hate splawn amps but scott is known for delivering the goods while some guys are known for great amp mods that might take 2 years to get back if you ever get your amp back.

He started his business longer than two years ago. Back in '02 or so, he was still just doing mods, and occasionally buying a used Plexi RI and modding them, and he wasn't quite as proficient as he is now. At the time, I had a Plexi RI in the classifieds and he had emailed me about it and told me he'd take it. Said he was going to send a Money order, a week later he said he was going to send me a money order, then finally told me he couldn't afford it and backed out. Around that time, people were complaining a little bout the slow mod times too. That didn't make him a bad business man, or shady, it just meant he was struggling with the new aspect of business, and he had to pull through it. It happens.

I think MC needs to have some better communication etc, but this entire thread is nothing more than beating a dead horse, complaining and bitching by people that have no stake in the matter just for the hell of it, and it's ridiculous.

Your opinion is worth exactly the same as my opinion.

There would be no "pot" to "stir" if Cameron kept their word, delivered on their promises, gave people what they paid for, and communicated with people who sent them money.

I didn't create this issue and I have no influence on resolving this issue, only Cameron can do that. But as long as there are scammers and lousy business people out there I will keep those issues in the spotlight until the issue is resolved or the scammers and lousy business people disappear from my sight.

Shining a light on the unethical practices of people who preyon other on the Internet is a bit of a hobbie for me, and if you don't like it then you don't have to take part. But if you're worried that all of the attention on Cameron's business practices will scare away potential new "customers" (victims?) then I'd say that they have reason to be scared away at this point.

How dare you tell anyone to shut their fucking mouth about Cameron's business practices when Cameron has taken countless thousands of dollars from people and promised to deliver mods or amps yet delivered almost nothing to anyone, and even worse made no good faith attempt to quell the rumors and speculation by communicating with people. Who died and annointed you the mediator of all scams and bad business deals?

If you don't like me questioning Cameron's business practices then (a) ignore me or (b) convince Cameron to do the mods he took in, deliver the new amps to those who paid deposits or prepaid, and communicate with customers. As far as "pissing off the Cameron guys", who are the Cameron guys? Certainly not the guys who have received their new Cameron amps, those guys don't seem to exist. The guys who are making Cameron amps? Those guys don't seem to exist either since there don't seem to be any Cameron amps out there.

I didn't say you said he started it two years ago, I'm saying that two years ago, he'd had quite a few years of business behind him. When he first started, he wasn't doing it as well as he is now. Several years ago, he was having a few difficulties as well.

The only differences between this and the Sig-X are that VHT hasn't taken money for them yet (That I know of) and VHT has a Lot more resources to get the amp made, and still haven't done it. Eventually the Sig-X and the CCV/CCM will be on the market.
