I’m building a studio in my garden!

Getting close :)

What are you planning as far as finishing the space on the inside? Materials make such a big difference. I refinished my upstairs years ago in all solid wood tongue and groove. Ash floor and pine walls & ceilings. The sound is interesting. Downstairs is all carpet and drywall, totally different. Heck there's a big difference when the room was empty and we had new carpet laid. Anyway-just curious. Can't believe how awesome it looks.

^ I'm not the expert in room finishing materials but I've always had the general consensus that for:

1. Heavy loud metal type stuff or even hard rock, a carpeted floor and drywall (sound absorption) is best.
2. For clean, bouncy, 'Fendery' type stuff, all wood (more natural reverb) is best.

So for you, it is nice to have both

I’m lucky cause I can go down the road here and get tongue and groove in any native species I want. Or rough-cut lumber also. Save a lot of money and it’s a better product. It’s also true dimensional lumber…and heavy. You buy a 2x4, you get a true 2”x4” board. Harder to work with but worth it imo…air dried not kiln dried.
