Oh it's definately true - my dad has a winchester made M-1 carbine that's perfect. He retired out of state so he kept it, but if he stayed here he would have had to dump it.

"Need" is an interesting word. Do you "need" more than 1 guitar and 1 amp? Do you "need" a car that goes over the maximum speed limit in your country? Hell, do you even "need" more than 1 pair of shoes? To throw the word "need" into a discussion about something people enjoy collecting or using is quite irresponsible. Is it wrong for someone to enjoy going to the range and shooting at blank targets? Is it wrong for someone to enjoy collecting guns, even if they don't shoot them? I honestly think the issue is very simple, and it's all about what people enjoy doing. As long as it's legal and not affecting someone near you in a negative way, what's so sickening about it?

1 Major shooting since assault rifle laws were changed 15 years ago, that major shooting caused 1 death. Stop pretending its the 1700's, solving problems with guns just doesn't work as well as other solutions anymore.
