Is there ONE amp that you could get by with as your single amp?

Just curious if there is an amp that you could live with being the only amp you have?

Edit: for me.....I certainly could get by with just my Silver Jubilee and a SD-1.
I am really enjoying my Silver Jubilee Mini with my Griffin SD-1 clone and like to add my Keeley Blues Disorder. Those pedals together with the amp gain at 4, sounds awesome!

I've been mostly with one amp the last two years. Laney GH50L, other have come in, but they all wind up leaving, while this thing stays.

for me its my komet 60. but only if i can use it with a powerstation. without, it would be too difficult
Yeah I could probably get by with just a Komet Concorde but agree I would need a powerstation.....

I think if I could settle on one amp, I would be a lot better guitar player. As it is, mediocre player at best, but have world class gear.

I'd be torn between my Wizzer MCII, Dizzer VH4 or VHX.

Prob the VHX in a utilitarian sense as it's the most compact and most versatile of the three.
The MCII is top dog though and puts me in 'the zone' the longest as time just seems to disappear when I plug it in.

That's one amp that's still on the amp bucket list for me. I had a MCI, and stupidly sold it. I picked up a MTL MKII this year after missing it. It didn't scratch the itch, it just made another amp I can't part with now. :aww:

I just have this 84 IIC+:

And, well, the Kemper also has all the amps

If we're talking just getting by I can make do with almost any amp that is functional. I did just fine for a good decade with my only amp being a Crate BV300. Well technically I had 2 amps during that time. The 2nd was a backup Crate BV150 so not much different than having one amp.

If you're speaking in terms of which amp would I pick if I had to get rid of everything else; that's a bit tougher for me. It's a toss up between my Alta, Hellion, and Naylor. I would be completely satisfied with any of the three if it became the only amp for the rest of my life. Push comes to shove I think the Naylor would beat out the other two by 1/4% because it's the rawest sounding/feeling amp of the trio.

This is also assuming you mean guitar amps and I can still have a bass amp too. I'd keep my Mesa Titan for bass.
If I can have only one amp period I may have to switch my decision and go with the Hellion so It could pull double duty for guitar & bass.

Luckily I don't have to make this decision and can keep all my amps.

I'm currently getting away with my Quad Cortex as my only amp. Positive Grid FRFRs as the cabs. I have captures of my favorite amps at various settings, mostly my old IIC+s.

If we're talking about tube amps? JP2C. Hands down the most versatile amp I've ever played. Dead quiet, no boost needed, incredible cleans, nice fat crunch and crushing high gain. Only downside is that it's heavy as fuck.

Well, for most of my music life, I have only had one amp at a time. Right now it's an EVH 5150 III. Does just about everything that I need an amp to do.
