That’s a hot take. They have a lot of great amps: Tremoverb, Rectifer Multi-Watt, Mark II through Mark IV. Maybe not to your taste, but those are great amps.
Well the reason I said “almost” is because of the mark iv and Rev F barely making it in that time span. Mark iii came out before, the Multi-Watt is not a great tier amp to me. The tremoverb I guess is good (not amazing), but not as good as earlier revision Recto’s and the key word for me was great, like something with a real wow factor or significant step forward and I’ve only seen steps backwards with them for that time really (at least in the tone department, not counting convenience in features), so yeah I don’t see it as a hot take at all really, just sadly the trend

There used to be these things called sole proprietor stores and they would stock a decent variety of these things called amps. Actual 50 and 100 watt, glass bottled things, with this weird anomaly called a 4x12 speaker cabinet. More so if near a decent sized city. But we’re talking back in the days of Sanskrit.

I thing I've seen a tiktok about these things. They're from the 1900's right?

So GD brutal of a demo. Those EQ settings are trash. THEN, guitar boy actually makes fun of the “V” shape EQ very condescendingly. 95% of people V the eq. Out of touch with reality. Worse than Kamala’s campaign.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody make a fucking “squashed M” shape on the GEQ before. Good lord.

“Unburdened by what has been yada yada” 😂

The amp does sound like it fell out of a coconut tree
At this point I think Gibson are fucking trolling us 😂

And wtf is that delivery dates shifting to february? 😯

@hellzington you got one on order, when they are delivering it?

The amp sounds great but IIC+ collectors and owners can sleep well knowing it still doesn’t hang. So far of the high gain sounds there’s way more mids present than a dialed in old IIC+ which instantly takes it into a live friendly tone but under recording doesn’t seem like it belongs. It reminds me of a mark II that’s trying to identify as a Marshall and I strongly believe it has something to do with their component brand choices that exist today or just people having no clue how to dial them in or possibly both.

It already has limited features and sounds better as a clean amp than it does at high gain.

I’d rather have an old SRG, DRG, or HRG.

We honestly don't know that yet. There still hasn't been a single even half-way decent demo released so far that shows this amp dialed by somebody who knows what they're doing. :D

Exact same thing happened with the VII.
