It already has limited features and sounds better as a clean amp than it does at high gain.

I’d rather have an old SRG, DRG, or HRG.

I haven’t tried one - just going by what’s out there like everyone else.

I believe it’s not a true reissue. I’ve heard clips with the V GEQ that still have a ton of growling mids like a Marshall which makes no damn sense.

I was somewhat interested but I’m content with my KRG and no longer interested at all. Just stating what I hear from the community as clips start rolling in and of the initial release.
 
Good Lord that Sweetwater video sounded like trash. The rest haven't been much better but at least no one tried to play Metallica on those settings.

Probably wasn't going to pick one up given the price tag, but not sure I see a reason to get one used over a VII or some old II/III/IV.

I liked Ben, Kyle and Fluff, but it wasn't blowing my skirt up. Anyone getting one of these that already owns a IIC+? Not gonna lie, the curiosity is still there, but not disappointed I didn't jump now. I will wait for RT clips and for these reviewers to get them in their own hands, not with someone else dialing.

Christ. An echoey, muffled clip from a phone some dude just kinda slung across the room and started jamming in front of literally sounds better than half a dozen multi-thousand dollar professional product showcase videos from Gibson.

How embarrassing for them, lol.

Could be wrong, but those kinda look like EV's in the cab. Big dust cap, smoothish cone, what looks like the thick straight sides of the cast basket, and that thick grey gasket on the edge of the basket. Maybe they're helping. Does sound much better than the official demos I've seen so far.
 
trying to understand who these demos are targeting. Steven Segal?

looks like there’s more firepower available but they’re just not setting up the amp hot enough for stand alone fury. sounds like a cranked early Mark II at best which might work better in a demo with backing tracks to hear how it cuts in a fusion or classic rock lead style.

maybe the launch strategy is get all the forums bellyaching then shut everyone up with a real high gain demo and make everyone feel stupid for passing final judgement after week 1 of internet hoopla.

This sounds horrible. I mean come on...Difficult crowd to please and they came up with this shitty video with the worst settings ever? They had one job to do..
