New Cameron CCV Video Done at TM

Weber/Scumback M75, Weber/Scumback H75, Heritage G12M, Heritage G12H. All sound great with the CCV IMHO. I certainly agree that V30's record better than they sound live. It's probably just me, but that nasty ice-pick tone just drives me nuts.....

In my experience it really depends on the application

For the guy rockin at home id say a cab loaded with g12h30 anny

for the guy on stage cranking the snot out of it a mixture of cl80 and g12h30 anny
It evens out some of the shrillness of the 30, especially for leads.

Problem i had with all h30 annys was that id dial a great clean, great rhythm tone, but then when it came time to solo it was to brash, the x pattern really helped fix that, and also tightened up the feel to.

the g12h30 anny is a crispy speaker but it doesnt have the agressive high mids that the vintage 30 has, it has more sizzle up top like above 5-6k where as the v30 has more in the 3-5k range...

i would rather listen to mark day play than mark cameron, cameron can play but i dig the other dudes style and examples better.
i also dont know if i like what ive heard or not, im listening thru bose speakers and not the crappy shit but im not blown away by the ccv yet, theres plenty of clips on yt and clips other people have made to get a idea if i would like it, i guess i might be expecting too much from a amp that people have made into a god. i just dont hear the magical tones others do and i guess i need to get the feel of the amp.

Same here. I have yet to hear a clip that blows me away (Youtube or audio clip). I know there's a lot of love for the CCV and I'm sure the feel is amazing, but tonewise it doesn't make me say "wow, this is the shit!"...

Yeah, Nick's clips were the originals that made me buy two of the pre-production Cameron's.

The Shiva is working out real well thus far. I really dig the 6550's and the tightness of the amp. Thinking about trying those tubes in my XTC. But I'm sure just about anything would beat the stock JJ's for me. Not a fan of them in darker amps.
