The Torque,I put it in my SG custom. It is about 14.6 give or take a couple.I'm gonna take the Paul out this morning and wake the DEAD!
Haven't tried the WCR or WT but have heard them in person, but playing them is the way to go.I have the Muy Grande in my Paul and after some serious evaluation they are gonna stay. They have alot of similarities which is what I was looking for when I ordered the MCPs,CHA CHING!richedie":36b61 said:How does the Torque compare with the BBQ? have you tried WCR or Wolfetone?

I was at my buddies house for a couple of hours and the toque left us with goosebumpsrichedie":cc5ab said:MCP it is.
Compared the MG to the Torque?
I was expecting a very subtle difference myself,I went out on a limb and DUDE the Diff is huge. These things brought a whole and I mean a whole new meaning of PASSIVE to my palate, with that being said I can't wait for the next set to arriverichedie":l68psnp3 said:That much of a difference from a simple pickup? I have been thoruhg a lot of pickups, WCR, Rio, Duncan, Dimarzio, Gibson, PRS, Wolfetone and never felt the difference was large, only minor and in many cases most pikcup can be made to sound like one another with enough pole piece tweaking, height adjustment and amp adjustment. Is the soct worth it? WCRs are expensive but the difference was too small to justify.

The dif between the Rios and the MCP I got was huge, these things are crystal clear, muscular responsive and Dude put them in and if you dont like them you can send them back or you could give me a smokin deal on them I love the set I ordered and I'm going big on the next set,The Nuke for my SG voodoo, and when there in I'll be ready to take over the world.....LOLrichedie":lwjq20af said:jmgman69":lwjq20af said:I was expecting a very subtle difference myself,I went out on a limb and DUDE the Diff is huge. These things brought a whole and I mean a whole new meaning of PASSIVE to my palate, with that being said I can't wait for the next set to arriverichedie":lwjq20af said:That much of a difference from a simple pickup? What are the big differences you notice? Clarity?
What did you order?
Clarity is an under statement on these,it will make your MHG scream with pleasure.richedie":2stxwvrg said:Clarity is key because the EGnater has thick tones. If the Torque works out I may get the Afwayu next because I tend to like hotter pickups and I can just roll back the volume for lighter tones. PAF pickups kind of leave me feeling limited to only lighter, classic tones where hotter pickups can do more!
I agree the torque takes, and really lets the guitar shine through.I've put that set in two different guitars with great results.richedie":iky85o7o said:I am really liking the Torque. It is very versatile and very rich with great clarity even under very high amounts of gain. Bravo, Wade!
