The Torque,I put it in my SG custom. It is about 14.6 give or take a couple.I'm gonna take the Paul out this morning and wake the DEAD! :D

How does the Torque compare with the BBQ? have you tried WCR or Wolfetone?

What is in the LP?

Haven't tried the WCR or WT but have heard them in person, but playing them is the way to go.I have the Muy Grande in my Paul and after some serious evaluation they are gonna stay. They have alot of similarities which is what I was looking for when I ordered the MCPs,CHA CHING!

Don't know what to do now! I was thinkging a BBQ in my one LP and the Muy Grande in the other would be a nice match and then maybe the Crunchbox in my PRS.

However, I talked to Wade through email and he thinkg the Afwayu's would be great in my one LP to be like a better JB and the Egnater PAF for my other LP. Maybe the Torque for my PRS since it is versatile and splits well.

Jeff was saying the Torque is a BBQ killer so it sounds like these are really good....but you love the Muy Grande. UGH!

Used Rios are just as expensive these days....and I do not know the cost of the MCPs but I have been emailing Wade so I'll check.

Do the Rios or the Muy Grande have as much clarity as the Torque and does it response to volume roll off? I would want one with a nickel cover though. Ot I could just keep the neck covered and have the hot look of a black open coil bridge pickup in my ebony LP.

Tuff choice, but My friend has the the Crunch box set in his les paul custom and I think my standard LP with the MG kills it.My SG voodoo has the CB set and My Custom SG with the Torque KILLS it!They all have great volume rolloff, different but great.I like alinico better than the ceramic, but thats me :D

Oh richie, can't go wrong with the Muy Grande in the Paul but I'd bet that the Torque would sound insane too! :D

MCP it is. :)

Compared the MG to the Torque?
I was at my buddies house for a couple of hours and the toque left us with goosebumps

That much of a difference from a simple pickup? I have been thoruhg a lot of pickups, WCR, Rio, Duncan, Dimarzio, Gibson, PRS, Wolfetone and never felt the difference was large, only minor and in many cases most pikcup can be made to sound like one another with enough pole piece tweaking, height adjustment and amp adjustment. Is the soct worth it? WCRs are expensive but the difference was too small to justify.

I was expecting a very subtle difference myself,I went out on a limb and DUDE the Diff is huge. These things brought a whole and I mean a whole new meaning of PASSIVE to my palate, with that being said I can't wait for the next set to arrive :D

What are the big differences you notice? Clarity?

What did you order?

The dif between the Rios and the MCP I got was huge, these things are crystal clear, muscular responsive and Dude put them in and if you dont like them you can send them back or you could give me a smokin deal on them :D I love the set I ordered and I'm going big on the next set,The Nuke for my SG voodoo, and when there in I'll be ready to take over the world.....LOL :D

Clarity is key because the EGnater has thick tones. If the Torque works out I may get the Afwayu next because I tend to like hotter pickups and I can just roll back the volume for lighter tones. PAF pickups kind of leave me feeling limited to only lighter, classic tones where hotter pickups can do more!

Clarity is an under statement on these,it will make your MHG scream with pleasure. :D

Although I love the thickness, richness and balls of rios, there is some nice clarity and sparkle to these MCPs I like. I wonder if Wade makes one even thicker. The Afwayu? I like THICK, with good clarity....is it possible? The RIo is the closest I have found but the Torque is really clear, cleans up nice, very true and accurate, nothing sound weird or out of place and the top end really sparkles for clean, where my Burstbucker Pro sounds flat on the highs playing clean.

I am really liking the Torque. It is very versatile and very rich with great clarity even under very high amounts of gain. Bravo, Wade!

I agree the torque takes, and really lets the guitar shine through.I've put that set in two different guitars with great results.
