Anyway,I just got some more pickups from MCP and I went with a highgain set this time.I was curious,If anybody is looking for a pickup,I would give Wade a shot,THIS DUDE CAN WIND!Jeff is absolutely right  and not to mention he is a very cool dude :D

I think Jeff mentioned something about having another local dude is winding singles for them. Hopefully he'll chime in soon.

I'm real curious about these MCP's. Wade recommended the Torque set for me. I may have to pick up some to try out.

I put the torques in my SG voodoo and dude it's just sweet!
I just put in a set in my SG custom. The Nuke set.His description does not do it justice.Highout,no mud, clear, powerful ,articulate, lighting response. These just dropped the rios on there back DEAD!

i'd love to hear a set of the humbuckers in my SG. Mahogany body / neck, ebony fingerboard. I bet it would blow away the gibson buckers in it right now.

I'm looking for something good for rock on the bridge, but sweet and buttery and smooth on the neck.

I just don't like gibson pickups. Both the sets I got from wade just fry the gibbys IMHOThe Nukes are brutal.Like an overcharged Duncan distortion but way nicer OUCH these are hot :D The torque seemed to do well in both guitar and really made each shine.

yeah man...i know what you mean...gibbys are just too sterile...

so does he have a set that are a little less gainy..and more sweet sounding... i mean i want to be able to rock / hard rock...but i want to get some warm buttery tones w/ it. i've got other guitars w/ hotter pickups to shred and scream with ;). maybe i should just get wade's info from jeff ;).

The torques are killer for just that. Not super high out about 14.6k I think I measure but the most defined pup I've come across.I was playing Matts T/D mod with the Torques and it was just amazing. The Nukes are just brutal and crunchy and Shit these crack pavement brotha!

With my ears.I keep a screwdriver in my pocket.

On the Low end, I'd start at about 2mm, and the Highend about 2.5/2.75mm from the string and fine tune to taste. A little turn can make all the difference so go slowly and you should be able to pound it into submission :gethim:

Wade, glad to see you on here!! Can you do a quick compare/contrast of the Eggie Bliss Bucker and the Torque?? Thanks!

Interesting Wade because most people saet the bass side farther from the strings. You recommend closer so i am going to give it a whirl.

I wouldn't expect a 14k pickup to have mucho mids..but this does.

Well, The BlissBuckers are a very nice Paf designed pickup with neutral ground play for versital playing and a perfect amount of drive to the amp with great seperation between the notes without getting to thin- A bit of weight and note clarity at the same time- You can hear the weight behind the notes : )
The Torques have the gerthy mids with great seperation and a bit more signal hitting the amp...There's a small bump in the mids and the lower notes are articulate for fast palm muted runs- The high end is chimey and articualte without getting shear. Splitting the coils are a real treat as well yeilding some remarkable single coil tones....This model was very thought out with lots of planning in regards to splitting capablitys, wire insulation, magnet size, turns per layer, etc capturing the very best of single/humbucking modes......

Try them both ways??? A small turn is all thats needed. They are very suseptable to height adjustments so take your time and find the sweep spot for your applications...
I did'nt know most played with the Low end farther away? I always thought that was personal taste....No sense in "following the heard".....Make way for innovative thinking....I think I've grasped that from Egnater thinking out of the box : )
