You guy's are right it's a fake media hoax, global conspiracy. Were just wasting money, time, and resources doing the millions of tests. We should just stop, and go about our daily business. Nobody has really died from it, well the people that have died are just old dying anyway, and don't get me started on the fake counts, pisses me off soo bad. It's just another global elite attempt to take down the greatest elite reality TV show host turned president ever. :hys:

Also why is the whitehouse wasting our tax payer money on testing staff daily? I'm so outraged the POTUS would take part in this global conspiracy to take down the POTUS.
i believe everything that was done up to a point was the right call and saved lives. Then you could clearly see the numbers where manageable and the talks started about opening up. This is where things started breaking down. Whether to stay shutdown or to open up, the Dems were going to go the opposite because the numbers can support both approaches. You have places that are still shutdown yet are allowing protesting. We been progressively opening up since May 1 and the daily rates are stable, yet for political reason Democrats are standing their ground. For me, I think most people are willing to accept the current risk and get their freedom back.

Yeah, the whole shutdown was for one reason...to not overwhelm the health care system. And in many places it wasn't necessary but either way, we have arrived at the other side of the health-care-overwhelmed concern. We all knew (or should have) that more people would get it and will continue to for a long time. We have to learn how to live with it plain and simple...most people know this.

I just wish some key people would have the stones to say it like it really is instead of this stupid eggshell dance.

It's gonna suck a little whatever we do bit it's gonna suck a lot more if we continue to try and runaway/hide.

my guess is that we won’t even see much of a significant spike of cases after the riots either. It just goes to show how much of science and medicine is still theoretical at this point.

I wish they'd do that here across the dutch, mate... I mean, bro'.

Last I heard we only have 1 patient in ICU in the entire country, and yesterday zero new cases appeared. Today I think there were 4.

As I've said previously, it was meant to be all about flattening the curve, and there's been no curve to speak of for a while now, just a straight friggin' line. It's as if the goalposts have conveniently moved now into the "eradication" position, which was not what we were sold. Talk about bait-and-switch!

Like Jacinda, I don't think ScoMo's gonna be able to hold us back much longer; the shit'll hit the fan and we'll be let out of our cages... I hope. :gethim:

yeah the talk of the "trans-tasman bubble" has almost stopped because of of those 4 new cases   ... it seems so simple, if you are going to travel you get tested (apparently they now have the results in less than an hour) when you check in, if negative on the plane you go which means an entire flight of no cases so ZERO chance of spreading the virus..yes there is a chance that if someone fails the test then they have already spread it to people who will be getting on the plane but at some point the world needs to take a deep breath and step out from under the fear cloud because a vaccine isn't going to happen (imo).

There is mounting evidence that ventilators actually make death more likely so the concern of a lack of them shouldn't be a thing, esp in our part of the world

Why are we still talking about Corona? I thought rioting and looting had cured it.

This kind of shit pisses me off. If we are to pay so much for health care you damn well better be doing a bang up job and I'm not seeing it. We should have way more data on what works, what doesn't, etc. I know everyone wants to make health care the new hero (and to those "boots on the ground" deservedly so) but to the upper echelon...the world needs your expertise and where the fuck is it?

If I may interject some modest perhaps mild erudition. I once watched a Dr. Phil show (I think it was episode 254) where he claimed, clinically of course. That if a man's BMI (body mass index) is greater than 26.7 that you are more likely to gain weight through the natural phenomena of transfer of caloric space index and Nutra System sucks as too does Marie Osmond, literally. Just saying.

 The few that felt this from the get-go have been steadily growing and will become the majority before long, if they aren't already.

yeah agree. I guess there is a reason they haven't found a cure for Cancer, SARS, Ebola and the list goes on .... maybe if they do then they won't have a job anymore?

no sorry that is to cynical

this would be normal human behaviour but in the current world where your health concerns appear to depend on what coloured tie you wear i'm not sure if that will happen

I hear ya bro', but regardless of political allegiances, there's only so much heavy-handed control that peeps will put up with.

Well, as you implied, that'd be the logical assumption anyway.

If I may. The only "freedom" that we are afforded as American citizens is the "freedom" of speech and nothing else is FREE by design and by default. Every [system] of any kind must have a default defined in order to exist objectively and efficiently avoiding as much statistical entropy as possible. Economics MBA 101's 1st model.

You don't walk into a VONS Supermarket, grab a gallon of milk without paying for it because you need to $$$ for it. Is this not logical anymore?

This virus affects everyone differently, some mild some severe, some completely asymptomatic. What if your mother, father, brother or sister was one of those people affected. The thing is you don't know how your body is going to react to this virus until you have it. I would think your outlook would be different if you contracted it and you were one of the ones in whose body reacted violently to this virus through no fault of your own. We may all find out because it looks like you need 70% of the population to be infected to reach herd immunity.

Dr. Montagnier is also the co-founder of the World Foundation for AIDS Research and Prevention and has received more than 20 major awards in his field. He was inducted Into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2004 for his 1983 Discovery of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. He holds the HIV Virus Isolation and Diagnosis US Patent No. 4,708,818...

The famous French virologist nobel prize winner for HIV work Luc Montagnier stated that the analysis of the genomic structure of the virus clearly shows sections of HIV and SAR1 in the DNA structure, the Indian Institute of Technology was the first to identify this as well, they were forced to retract the paper but the it was put out there. The only way to arrive at this genetic configuration to make a bat coronavirus transmissable to humans is lab manipulation or "gain of function" research as was admitted to being done in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Dr. Montagnier did say that nature abhors when it is messed with and the virus should weaken as it mutates and should shed the HIV and Sars1 addition to its DNA to a point where it reverts back to being nontransmissable to humans, but until it does, it is going to kill alot of people.

This interview was done on French news TV pardon the subtitles, it might be worth your time to watch.

Maybe sarcasm, but truth. And there's a shift occurring in the 65+ voting demographic. Apparently, old people are not happy about being told they are economically expendable...or that they should "take one for the team" to help the younger folk. Funny enough, old folks have the highest voting turnout rate. Young folks have the lowest participate rate.

CNutz makes very true and good sense here as many have thought for quite some time. What people I think die from with this critter is a acute pulmonary failure and commonly when you're over 80 and have other health frailties.

CNutz! I may now stop thinking of your moniker as a portmanteau :)

So New Zealands biggest sporting stadium has officially sold out for tonights first Rugby match since lockdown on March 26th ... 41,000 people jam packed into there. 10 days ago seems like a life time when we were being told even in level 1 restrictions would be in place around crowd size. I guess 3 months until an election speeds things up a little
