I also think the Charvel brand has lost the plot a bit.
The American and Japanese Pro-Mods got it right: classic Charvel specs, regular refreshes of the finishes, and limited edition Wild Cards.
Once they relaunched with the MIM it went downhill. The recessed Floyd was the first mistake.

Looking on the site, it seems most of their Guitars are indeed recessed.. I have an 1988 import that is not and I think it's old shit.

Pretty sure Duplantier's sigs were tuneomatic so I don't think the recessed Floyds drove him away to a company where nearly all the Floyds are recessed.

Yup, just one difference: ESP has plenty of badass endorsers, Schecter has basically none. But yeah, if endorsers were a point, that is.
