2 Cor 6:14

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16Or what agreement has a sanctuary of God with idols?
So you don't have any non-christian friends?

Orthodoxy is all about not judging other people at face value. The Lord is merciful to the nth degree, and kind, and patient, and forgiving. He ate with sinners and tax collectors. We are to model our lives after him and after his holy mother who also set an example for a christian life. I am happy to call acceptance a friend.

For example, we discussed Col 2:8, which you say precludes the traditions such as those found in the orthodox church, which it clearly doesn't. But you insist. What else is there to do at that point?

"his holy mother"

blasphemous and you will face consequences for it my friend.

He's saying it condemns those traditions, yet, he doesn't even know what those traditions are.

What specifically are you asking for? I think the problem is that in your rush to parrot all the evangelical apologetics you've been taught you are glossing over everything I say. I told you I can't answer specific questions about Orthodoxy, which is why I defer to Von. But I can say that the reasoning behind the argument is sound.
It's not sound at all he can't back up a scrap of what he says because it's all nebulous "tradition". Besides which it goes against what the scripture says and the message of Christ. You can't make traditions that actually contradict what Christ said.

I assumed he meant any theological differences between Orthodoxy and Protestantism. But yeah, nothing has ever been specified. I was just saying that the text itself doesn't describe the traditions that he thinks it precludes.

That's not an argument. Does this mean the debate has run it's course?
between you and I yes
there hasn't been a debate, just you instigating for entertainment.
it's beneath me.
you and I are done.

She is the God bearer, the Theotokos, the mother of God. Ever virgin. Now your little head will really explode, lol.
and yet she had other children.
but let me guess, the scripture is wrong on that as well right?

It was all written down by the church fathers. Even protestants are aware of it, such as John being exiled to Patmos, Andrew being hung on an X shaped cross because he felt he wasn't worth to die the same way as the Lord, Steven being hung on an upside down cross, which apostles went to which areas of the map, etc etc. See, so it is something you didn't even realize was informing a lot of christian history whether you are orthodox or protestant.

I've poked a buncha holes in your arguments and you've taken it personally, now using an excuse to disengage.

James was the son of Joseph, who was a widower, who was an aged and respected man of about 80 when the Virgin Mary was entrusted to his care.
