The point is when DT mentioned disinfectant, used internally is not some wacky thing. Covid is a new phenomenon but chlorine dioxide has been used by many for eons.

I’m saying it is not used to treat covid, it wasn’t a treatment for covid when Trump said it and it’s still not. I also don’t believe it’s just injected into people’s bodies like a shot. I could be wrong, but I’ve only ever read about it being injected directly into a tumor.

At the time there was no tested treatment for covid because covid just started.
UV light is another therapeutic that has been around a long time. But you wouldn't know that because google.
The reason why all these therapeutics like ivermectin and such were so frowned upon by google was because the didn't make big pharma money.

If you're not arguing that it can be used medicinally, then why are you saying it's not a COVID treatment? Maybe you mean 'officially recognized treatment'? I am aware of anecdotal usage, but no formal studies. That is my question.

To bring it up as an option in a press conference about covid, was stupid. it was not at the time, nor has it been since shown to be a treatment for covid. Lots of things can be used medicinally, that doesn’t mean the leader of the country should bring them up in a press conference during a pandemic.

I’ve talked about ivermectin at length and have said it was dangerous because people were taking it over the counter from the livestock isle. People self medicating is potentially dangerous, especially for a virus.
