I don’t know man, I just know that free education is a thing there.

Hope not, but judging by info online, Europe has also fallen to leftists.
Definitely sounds like a great thing. I wish they would do the same with the state colleges/universities here.

We'll see what happens, the last couple weeks are going to send ripples around the world.

One thing’s for sure. However these reissues end up sounding, you can be sure TGP is going to be great for a few weeks afterwards. I can hear them now.

“Oh man it’s not even close to the originals, just not even in the same ballpark! For the real thing, buy the original one I’m selling in the classifieds.”
“I knew it, PCB construction is simply inferior to the Old Way of doing things. What? No I haven't heard or played it yet but I don't need to. I just know.”
“Way too much gain for me. Nobody needs more gain than what you can get out of my trusty Deluxe Reverb.”

Gonna be some juicy threads over there I can already feel it.

Tell you what, I'm so fucking creamy over my Mark V and my 2018 MW Dual Recto, that I just can't imagine these turning out to be shit. They'll be amazing I'm sure. But also expensive, particularly in the UK, and I'm not sure I will need one, but I will want one coz sexxxyyyyyyyyyyy.

I'm still gonna wait for the RT results when they actually ship, but I'm kind of stoked to try this one. Heard about it for years, but never got to play an original. Maybe that will be an advantage. I don't know of any amp techs near me, so I'm forced to service stuff myself. I hate shipping amps, I've even had an amp end up in a train derailment, then having to explain to the buyer(sorry Justin, lol). If I'm going to keep something, I much prefer something so old it's still PTP, or something newer I don't have to worry about.

Where do you come from, CrystalSky?

I knew of someone who got educated at the University of Freiburg back when I was in India. At that college, they accept both English and German speakers.

Might as well disclose that I’ve been hunting that guy for a while. He’s disappeared off the face of the earth though. Owes me money, let’s say.

Probably in trouble with the law or something. I honestly think he killed someone he was “in love with”.

There was another guy I knew who went to the best management and engineering institutes in India. Called me out of the blue one day saying his mother had brain cancer and he needed money for an operation.

I foolishly gave him $1000, but then he called back a day later asking for more and I smelt a rat. Called some old friends and found out he had borrowed money from a lot of people.

People eventually wised up and went to his parents house, but it was chained up. No one could contact his sister either, who was a school friend too.

The whole family just disappeared. I later found out he had a gambling problem. Must be sleeping with the fishes by now.

Now that that’s been said, a statistic about Indians: did you know that 14 of them are caught every hour trying to sneak into the US? We’re one of the biggest sources of illegal migrants.

I find it f*cking hilarious that Mexicans and Hondurans are being blamed. But hold up, Indians?

Honestly, It’s so horrible back home now, food inflation hit 10.8% last month, driven by vegetable inflation at 48%. This is after 36% vegetable inflation in September.

The GDP per capita is about US2,700 a year.

Unemployment is really high, doubling among the youth to 35.2% between 2000 and 2022. The government claims half the population is self-employed, which is laughable given that no one has any money.

And let’s not forget that this government has been accused of murdering a Canadian, and attempting to murder a US citizen.

What does that mean for the average Indian? He is scared of his country, which lets the police beat him to keep him from reporting crimes, where politicians sabotage initiatives to educate the filthy and unwashed masses so that they can bribe them with a bottle of liquor and a plate of biryani to vote for them in the next election because they’re still poor and stupid, where where the corruption starts at the street sweeper and runs to the level of the top leaders of the country.

Meanwhile, you have some of Asia’s richest men throwing weddings that cost $600 million and film stars who fraternised with terrorists and kept guns for them being allowed out of jail periodically to shoot films. They rub it in your faces.

India, btw, is one of the largest economies in the world, bigger than the UK. Problem is that it’s a kleptocracy. Steal from the poor again and again and again.

A case could be made that the Indians trying to sneak into America are economic migrants.

I honestly think they’re fleeing persecution, I wish I could get my mom and dad to leave as well. Not a safe country, a very violent and disturbing place. But they don’t want to.

But just based on the two stories I told you about people I know, would you want them in the US? For all we know, those two guys are probably there already, crossing the border at will. Being those guys.

That’s what Americans and Europeans should say to the people who are fleeing real persecution now. “We were welcoming, but the people who came caused problems, so now we are closing our borders.”

It’s a source of great embarrassment to me though that so many of them are Indians.

Sorry for the long monologue. I mean, I could go on, say something like the developing world’s experience with colonialism was similar, with people coming and not wanting to leave and stealing and robbing and pillaging until things became so bad for them they had to give them guns to fight the Nazis and then we threw them out too. And now that things are going our way, they want to impose tariffs on us and keep our people out and are ready to wage war on us to keep our markets open for their goods. Neocolonialism, as it were.

But that would be long winded. Farewell, my dudes, I haven’t slept for 48 hours so I’m rambling. Apologies for any grammar or spelling mistakes.

PS: Reparations for colonialism would be nice. The Germans and the Japanese made big payouts for historic wrongs. But it’ll never happen. I find it very interesting.

Yeah. I like newer amps for that reason. Get too nervous to play these old $$$ amps that are tricky to service by a guy who might retire(?) and they claim parts are hard to source(?). Yeah. I'd take a new one please.

IIC+ Reissue with cream tolex to match my Mark IIIs and cab.

Now...that would be hard to resist.

I don’t think it will tank original IIC+ but it may leave the mark VII in the dust and give the JP2C a run for its money. I’m hoping JP2C’s tank on the used market so I can grab one. Like Erock I’ll let the IIC+ reissue be vetted on RT first before I consider grabbing one. My number one fear is that it will be a one trick poney which is why I may still prefer the feature packed JP2C instead.

I noticed the original Mark IIC+ uses a 3A fuse and the reissue uses a 4A fuse... :geek: No mention of EL34 anywhere?

That's it. I'm now ready to storm Petaluma, California because this reissue has been rigged. Who's with me?

Not with those shit box transformers they are using now.

Production is going to be in the US, right? I think Mesa Boogie stuff all is.

It would be a real strange move if Gibson shifts production of some models to China or Vietnam or something down the line.
