Don't know if it's true but I wouldn't be surprised .

Great race!
I lost my ass on points, but it could have been worse
Barcia rode his ass off, as did Sexton, but I did not see Roczen sneaking in there. Good on him!
I think Eli figured out too late those guys were not gonna make any mistakes and Coop was pretty solid in front of him. He can ride a wide bike if he needs too for sure.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but I do think its coming to a head soon. Its sad, an entire slice of the industry will be forced to relocate to Moto-friendly states, some of them already have..
When I lived in Lancaster Cali in the mid to late 70's it was ground zero for every kind of off road motorcycle racing on earth. Bob Hannah lived 8 miles from us. My first race I ever attended was a Trans-AMA race at Saddleback Park, and all the great ones were there. Hannah, Smith, DeCoster, and Bailey were a few that come up in memory. I can't imagine the Outdoor Nationals with no Glen Helen or Carsbad...
But it's coming.....Fucking democrats..

I guess at some point we will be watching the electric dirt bikes take over..
The industry will be forced to adapt in order to survive.
Just imagine the sound of a trillion bees coming off the start gate

I just can't get excited at all for electric bikes in racing . For home usage where noise is a major issue they would be great .

Isn't that the 125 Expert class?

Well, I guess they would be bee's with big hairy balls compared to the sound of electric bikes
Even 125's sound better than those electric bikes. I have not been around one yet, but what I see on vids makes me cringe...
I will say the Stark Varg at 80+ HP and full mapping capabilities was impressive except for the sound of it. Everyone who has rode it says its superfast, but different feeling...
Its likely going to happen regardless of what any of us think about it..

Also, its really weird to me that Triumph is going on with development of new gasser MX bikes at a time when the electric bikes are being developed by everyone else....
Supposed to run the 250 4 stroke next year if things go to plan

I heard RC talking about that. Have they signed any riders yet?

They have Ivan Tedesco and Clement Desalle on board as test riders, plus RC Im sure will have a lot of input, but no official Team riders yet that I know of. They have sank a ton of money into infrastructure and the logistical side of it so they no doubt are serious about the whole thing.
Its a huge gamble on their part, I hope it works out, the sport could def use another world class team, if that's what this turns out to be.
Tedesco is a fantastic test rider, I don't know about Desalle, but he's a MXGP guy, so Im sure he's fast and would at least have some input for the euro market (They say they will run MXGP also)
Just seems a risky time to go on such a venture..

Triumph has been real interesting recently. Seems like a huge undertaking to stand up a serious MX program starting with essentially nothing. That said, they're Moto2 engine program seems to be not only successful, but riders and teams both like how it works and its reliability.

Sunday side note: Marvin Musquin handed out the second place MotoGP trophy at COTA today. Red Bull promo.

Not publicly announced, afaik. Not even "leaked" "spy photos".
